Everyone experiences stress and difficulties from time to time, which may affect our ability to manage such circumstances on our own. Some of the most common issues we are faced with today are stress, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem and anger. Many people need support to get through such times. Vida Psychology only employs fully qualified Psychologists who are registered with the Psychology Board of Australia and with Medicare.
Services
Vida was established in 2007 by Carmen Beaumont. Carmen had previously worked as a solo practitioner since 2003. Carmen was born in a Central American war-torn country where she experienced firsthand how wars can impact a person's physical and mental wellbeing. In 1987 she migrated to Australia with her family as a political refugee.
Vida Psychology will give you the opportunity to not only explore and gain understanding of your circumstances, but most importantly, to learn tools and strategies to overcome and manage them, now and in the future. In Australia on average, one in five women and one in eight men are likely to experience depression in their lifetime1. Depression is a mental health condition affecting how people think and feel about themselves and the world around them. It can last for weeks, months or even longer. Depression is not something you can just ignore and hope it'll go away.
