Awesome Dancer is a recreational dance school where we believe dance lessons should be all about building confidence in our students while keeping things simple. We alleviate the need to attend multiple classes a week by offering combination style classes in which your child will discover a love of dance while developing solid dancing foundations.
Students can expect to be encouraged and respected by their teachers and fellow classmates as they discover styles including jazz, hip hop and ballet techniques. Our purpose built studio in Thornbury is located in Melbourne's North East and is easily accessible to the Fairfield, Northcote, Alphington, Ivanhoe and Preston areas.

Too often I heard stories of 4 hours concerts, $400 costumes bills, inappropriate costumes and only 2 minutes performance time at the end of the year. There had to be another way! Over the last 2 decades we have solved this very problem for thousands of families in the Fairfield and Northcote areas and continue to do so today.

Does your youngster love making up dances in the lounge room or routines with their friends? Building confidence, self esteem and team skills through our energetic, creative 1 hour class.
Does your tween LOVE music and have an interest in dance but is not confident enough to join the 'stereotypical' dance class. Then our 1.5 hour tweens class will make them feel a part of a community where they are surrounded by other like minded students.

My daughter (now a teenager) has been going to Awesome Dancer for a few years now and loves it. She didn't know what dance style she wanted to focus on, so this is perfect as she does 4 styles throughout the year. The end of year concert is lots of fun (and really age-appropriate; great costumes and hair & make-up is only what is required for stage lighting). The school's organisation and communication is great, and her teacher Meg is an absolute star!

A friend recommended this dance studio and my daughter absolutely loves it. The instructors and owners are lovely and great communicators. They take care of everything so parents can just sit back and enjoy the end of year concert. Highly recommend!

I just wanted to reassure you that both my children have absolutely adored their time with Awesome Dancer. My son will definitely be returning next year.
My son's confidence has really grown during his time at Awesome Dancer. He's not a sporty kid and feels like a bit of an outsider at school. Thanks so much for providing such a high quality dance company that doesn't put too much pressure on kids. Your classes are fun but at the same time they provide structure and technique.

Our daughter started Awesome Dancer this year and has just embarked on her first concert! To say she has had the best time is an understatement! The quality and professionalism of staff is amazing whilst also creating a warm and friendly environment for the kids. It has been a fabulous year and our daughter is eager for her next year and beyond at Awesome Dancer!

My son was 7, in Grade 1, and anxious in front of groups of people. He had always been anxious about attending parties, and started school late. But he always danced to music in shops, etc.
After his first year at Awesome Dancer, he is bursting with confidence, enthusiasm and dance moves! His teacher built in him the confidence to go on stage by himself to commence one of the 3 dances his group performed. While he was apprehensive, he did it and was so proud of himself.
His confidence has grown further with his 2nd year. He loves it! And so do we!!!

My daughter is embarking on her 8th year with Awesome Dancer. In that time she has developed a love of dance and wonderful confidence performing. She loves the range of dance they practice and the end of year performance, and has always liked her teachers. Am very happy to recommend Awesome Dancer to others.
