I've attended other studios but the point of difference here is that the teachers come and check and assist your alignment and may even give you the extra nudge in the pose which is always an added bonus. They also have such an array of equipment to use which allows you to deepen your pose!

Services
We have been offering yoga, meditation and specialised classes to the Hills community since 1999. Our teachers are highly skilled with years of teaching & personal practice and undergo regular training in yoga and health related modalities. The style of yoga taught at Hills Yoga is alignment focused and incorporates static and vinyasa-style asanas.
Corinne Doret is the founder of Hills Yoga (1999) and the principal teacher. Corinne has a background in Clinical Hypnosis & Counselling, Hypno-Cognitive & Behaviour Therapy and Childbirth Management. She retired from her private practice in 2001 to focus on yoga program development for childbirth, children, and for people with disabilities.
Practise on an empty stomach. A minimum of 4 hours should be allowed after a full meal. Pregnant students may have a small snack (fruit, crackers) if they need to 1 hr before class. Refrain form smoking and alcohol before your class. One aspect of yoga is about cleanliness and detoxification, not only will it help you with your practice but also it will keep your yoga space free of unpleasant odours that can disturb other students.
Classes are suitable for all levels of practice (not for beginners or new to yoga) If you have done our Beginners Course you are welcome to attend our online sessions. Some props will be used. Options will be given whenever possible for students with no yoga props Please note that many house items can be used instead such as a chair, other furniture, a scarf.
This is a friendly and wonderful class with dedicated and beautiful students, many of whom have been attending regularly for some years. This class is suitable for older students but equally welcomes any students, who may require more support for their practice. For instance, if you are recovering from an illness or injury this class will help you to continue with your yoga practice in a way that will support your present condition.

My journey with yoga began at Hills Yoga 21 years ago and I can't image going anywhere else! The different levels of classes and dedicated teachers ensure that you gain all the wonderful benefits of yoga in a safe and caring environment. This is not just a your average yoga studio. What I love about this studio is that I am constantly learning and being challenged in the poses. I have also enjoyed meeting and sharing my journey with other yogis. I have been attending Hills Yoga for over 2 years now and can thoroughly recommend their classes. The teachers are attentive and supportive and will work through any individual restrictions to adapt every pose for every student. I would recommend the classes here to anyone thinking of starting or returning to yoga.

I started yoga just under two years ago and chose Hills Yoga because I liked the fact that every class is a lesson in technique and tailored to each persons' capacity and capability. Even via zoom this careful attention to detail happens with Corinne or Kim correcting their student's technique if needed. There's lots to love about this studio and it's teachers.

I dont know what it is with these negative people and their negative comments. I have done the beginners course with Hills yoga and I am continuing with normal classes. Corrine and Kim have very high standards and are so precise. However, alternatives and modifications are always presented if you have an injury or other limitation. The teachers aporoach to teaching are serious but there is always plenty of humour on display from them when needed. I would not go anywhere else for my yoga!

I have been to different yoga studios in the area. Hills Yoga is professional & well run by experienced teachers who accommodate the needs & levels of all students of all ages ( kids , teenagers & seniors & in - between!) .They are flexible , supportive & caring. This was evident during Covid lockdown where online classes were offered and are still available today.
The beginners course is really useful as it allows students to understand the fundamentals of yoga and decide if they wish to continue. I would highly recommend Hills Yoga to anyone interested in trying or continuing yoga.

Hills Yoga has been a wonderful support for me during the Covid lockdown. I have been a student for several years and have always found the teachers to be professional, caring and precise with their instruction. During lockdown, Hills Yoga used Zoom to keep classes going and keep us students connected to our practise and our community. Today there is a combination of studio classes and Zoom classes. For the time being I have chosen to practice yoga through Zoom and have found the classes to be excellent. I recommend Hills Yoga to everybody!
