We have used VSS over the last 21 years for our cats and dogs and have always been extremely impressed with all of the staff's high level of professionalism, care and communication. They have consistently been friendly and kind to my human and animal family members and have shown compassion and empathy during the difficult moments that we have had to walk through over that time.
Apart from the fact that the VSS vets are all at the top of their field, they also practice at one location. This advantage became clear to me when I left my little feline boy for the afternoon with the *AMAZING* feline

We were very happy about Abbey the vet specialist and her services. The reception on the other hand, are not helpful at all. They do not pass on messages to the specialists and are not friendly at all. They are very prompt in getting back to you with the bill but nothing else. Our only positive interaction has been with Kim, who is absolutely amazing and a real asset.

Could not see Rachel the Cat specialist we had a booking for so because of our long travel time to get there we felt that we did not get the advice were seeking as the person we saw was not our current case manager and am wondering wether we should go back for another scheduled appointment or just go to our local Vet?
The emergency care they gave was excellent, expensive and appreciated but the post incident care was a bit disappointing but we will see if we can definitely get another appointment with Rachel and if we again get someone else it will be our last visit with this case.

An unexpected event” that resulted in an unexpected and unannounced visit. The veterinary team were immediately helpful who attended to my best friends needs without hesitation despite my lack of communications before arrival. Dr Abbie Tipler provided insightful knowledge explaining all things including - step by step procedural activities, as well as ... a fair amount of reassurances. Abbie also kindly provided an indication on what the possible expenses might be.
Sarah, was also helpful, kind, thoughtful and caring from beginning to end.
Staff on reception are professional and as polite

This could've been 5 star. The vet was fabulous, the treatment of my dog amazing, no superb! I now know how my dog should present after being under anaesthetic. I've got some questions for my local vets!! However, the post surgery administration needs improvement. When you're stressed about the cost of surgery and taking your brave pet home, three key things need to be established before you leave the building:
1) Enough medication is given for your loved pet to last between your pet going home and the next scheduled appointment.
2) Which brings me to my second point. That you're given the next

VSS are the absolute best! From the front of house, nurses to the Doctors, they are always professional, organised and caring. We were having problems with our boxer dog Mae collapsing (one at the beach was nearly fatal and by the time we got her to VSS she was having them constantly). Dr Chris Lam and the team looked after her in ICU until they got to the bottom of it. We received daily updates on her progress to ease us of worry. We are so appreciative for Dr Chris and how he was able to control Mae's heart diagnosis (boxer cardiomyopathy) with medications and heart check-ups to give her quality

They looked after our labrador pup so well for her surgery. They were very informative throughout the day and provided information via text message and phone calls. They emailed out all notes and photos from the surgery we discussed so we could better understand what had happened. The after care notes were very thorough and easy to follow.
Booking in for post operation check ups is a simple process.
They carried out a CT scan as the previous vet had only done and x-ray and couldn't see a break. The CT showed it and it was needed.
Minnie is on her way to a great recovery from her broken elbow
