The view of the ocean was great and the sound of the waves was so relaxing. The underground parking & lift access to the upstairs apartments was awesome for taking our luggage.

There's a lot to see and do in and around Apollo Bay. Apollo Bay Attractions - Great Ocean Road Attractions Apollo Bay is located at the foothills of the Otways, and is the gateway to some of Victoria's most pristine and beautiful landscapes. The seaside town enjoys spectacular ocean views, as well as some of the best rainforest tracks Victoria has to offer.
Apollo Bay Directions: Take the Princes Freeway from Melbourne and continue on towards Geelong. Travel on to Angelsea from Geelong, then take the Great Ocean Road to Apollo Bay via Lorne. Check in was a breeze. The room was magnificent. The view of the ocean was great and the sound of the waves was so relaxing. The underground parking & lift access to the upstairs apartments was awesome for taking our luggage to our room. Check out was just as easy. We will be back for sure. We recently enjoyed 4 nights over the school holidays with my brother and his children, aged 12 and 8.

Difficultly in locating how to reach our apartment from carpark direction on leaflet were very unclear.The exterior of the apartments requires a lot of maintenance very poorly maintained. To reach the apartment no undercover walkways especially down to apartment one quite a walk with luggage etc in wet windy weather. None of this mentioned in write up when booking. The apartment itself was very modern and clean although very musty. When power went off no lightening at all in bathroom having to rely on a small torch.

My daughter and sons booked these apartments for myself and my husbands 28 wedding Anniversary as a surprise for 2 nights . Booked through Groupon ( which we have never had a problem with) . Two weeks later booked for our friends to join us with full paying appartment . Only to be told our booking date was not available and that Groupon bookings can take 3 weeks ( never happened before) but yet my friends booking 2 weeks after ours (the same date ) was still available. Will never book these appartments again . Very very disappointing.

The first impression of the premise with its tatty garden and building in need of a coat of paint was not of the 4.5 star the write ups claimed. We chose the apartments as it said there was a lift and my partner had just had knee surgery. The lift was out of service and appeared to have been for sometime. The stairwell we were forced to use was poorly lit, dingy, and needed a coat of paint. It was also difficult to manoeuvre luggage in as it was narrow.

We stayed at the Apollo hotel for 5 days in late March. We arrived late at night from travelling down. Their website is very misleading to what you get! We had assumed from the photos displayed we were getting a kitchen, lounge room, bedroom & bathroom. We opened our door to a tiny room where the curtain got caught on the door (we had to leave our blinds open when leaving the room otherwise they’d get caught, this meant having all our personal belongings on show). We have a baby and to find that the lift doesn't work meant going up and down 2 flights of stairs with a lot of baggage very challenging. It was $220 per night, I think a little steep for what it was.
We had to get the 2 bedroom apartment, for the kitchen (microwave, sink etc). The first room we entered smelt terrible, they left the window open so must know it was bad. Anyway we left that joining room shut and used the rest of apartment. It didn't feel super clean, I think the doors to balcony let a lot of sea mist/wind in so everything felt damp. Kitchen tiles sticky, carpet damp. Freezer smelt

Great location! Couldn't beat the location really, the apartments themselves are very large. Unfortunately bedding sheets a little uncomfortable and lighting was very harsh, could do with some plants or warm blankets to warm the place up a little. With that said good value for money considering the location

Terrible service, they refuse to even discuss covid19 cancellations. I was told by one manager that no refunds will be issued because they have no customers. A government enforced no travel ban does not even come into the conversation. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS. ESPECIALLY AFTER COVID19 IS ALL OVER. TOTALLY UNAUSTRALIAN.

The Apollo Apartments- DO NOT RECOMMEND. Had a booking with them. Then of course due to SA borders being closed we had to cancel due to government restrictions. They refused me my refund. This is atrocious, this was out of my control and I am now out of job and can’t get a refund I am entitled to. They will be hearing from me that’s for sure.

Not even reaches an upper one star. We only stayed 1 night and was travelling on but a very, very big let down On arrival could not be booked in - lateness of Hotel Staff. Room was very ordinary- Room had a musty odour when we eventually opened the door,the room door seals were coming apart( wear and tear), curtains mouldy , smoke alarm… missing,door lock arrangement very tight ( watch your fingers), dish washer liquid provided- no sink , unit door opens into room and takes away all space- should be sliding arrangement. This is a rip-off. I purchased a Groupon and requested a date change as our child fell sick and was in hospital. The heartless morons at this place refused to change my booking even though I requested the change well before my date of arrival. I don’t recommend this place to anyone who wants a decent holiday. They don’t have enough guests staying there and that is why it is advertised at such low costs in Groupon
