King Parrot Cottages and Event Centre provides accommodation near the Great Ocean Road and Lorne in the Otway Ranges, nestled on the north-facing hillside of the spectacular Pennyroyal Valley. Consisting five cottages, lodge, hall and campground, King Parrot is a popular destination for romantic getaways, family holidays and large family celebrations.
The architecturally designed accommodation is fully self-contained, ranging in size from single to four bedrooms, accommodating between two and fourteen people. Services
Gorgeous King Parrot Cottages and Event Centre, perfect for Lorne accommodation, Great Ocean Road accommodation and Otways accommodation. All cottages face north to capture as much sun and light as possible during the daytime and are all built from quality materials that match the bush setting with an eye for style and comfort.
Mannagum is a much loved and rambling 5-bedroom residence. Popular with family groups this cottage can accommodate 11 people in comfort. There are 3 king size bedrooms, 1 large bedroom with 4 single beds plus our little "Harry Potter" bedroom into which we squeeze a single bed. The spacious living area is open to a large functional, fully equipped kitchen and a large outdoor deck area with a beautiful forest outlook.
Windmill is our preferred cottage for wedding couples. The plan allows for an abundance of natural light enhancing the polished recycled timbers upstairs which houses the kitchen and living areas opening out onto an inviting deck area through double doors. The bathroom is on the middle level and a spacious double bedroom with a luxurious king size bed with crisp white sheets a warm doona on the lower level.
The lodge and hall complex is ideal for corporate conferences or wellness retreats. They are joined together by a short internal staircase. Both enjoy beautiful, stunning views across the Pennyroyal Valley. The hall is a large space measuring approximately 10 x 8m with polished floorboards, heating and cooling.

We had a lovely stay at King Parrot and would highlight recommend it. It is such a beautiful, relaxing and peaceful place. Plenty of entertainment for the kids with a bushwalk to a waterfall, the pool, animals, and a games room. The Mannagum cabin was perfect for ours and another family we shared with. We will definitely be back.

We really enjoyed the location, the cottage, the view, yabby catching plus the staff were amazing! Great we could take our dog with us. There were many small touches we appreciated. My son loved the wide variety of games and movies (from reception) plus the lovely King Parrots. Definitely a place we will return to.

The perfect long weekend accomodation nestled amongst nature.
We thoroughly enjoyed four nights in the Windmill Cottage with our pups. We found the accomodation to be very clean and tidy with great, modern amenities.
It was lovely to start the day on the balcony with a cup of tea before exploring the grounds, including bush walks and getting to know the animals. We also enjoyed lighting the fireplace and snuggling up with a glass of wine.
I would certainly recommend staying at King Parrot and look forward to visiting again.

This place is just fabulous a wonderful escape from the city . Our house was beautiful, from the crisp bed linen to the colourful parrots which entertained each morning! !
Plenty of this to keep you and your kids entertained, big hit with my son was the games room .
If you are looking for somewhere to relax and connect with nature this is it !!!

What a beautiful location! The cottage we stayed in was well appointed, super clean and cosy and set in amongst beautiful rainforest. Hosts Nicole and Ryan were welcoming and very responsive to our enquiries prior to booking. Lot's of lovely walking trails and a beautiful creek running through the valley. You won’t be disappointed! I'd definitely recommend King Parrot.
