We offer all aspects of General Practice in a welcoming and friendly environment.
Earwax removal is a completely pain free service offered by 188 Medical. In some circumstances, ear wax can build up significantly to the point where a temporary hearing loss is experienced. Microsuction is considered safe, gentle & effective way to clean ears from debris and wax. It is the same technique used by Ear, Nose and Throat specialists and is superior to other methods such as water syringing and ear candling.
Dr. Joel Carmody graduated from the University of Sydney in 2010. He completed rotations through various hospital departments at Westmead, Orange and Coffs Harbor. He then worked for Australian Regular Army as a Medical Officer from 2013-2016, serving both in rural areas of Australia and overseas. During this time he also attained his fellowship from the RACGP Joel is interested in dermatology, children's health and sports medicine.
Dr Kelly Young graduated from University Of Queensland in 1998. Dr Young gained experience working in central Queensland during her General Practice Specialist Training. She moved to the Gold Coast in 2005, and since then has enjoyed providing comprehensive medical care for her patients. She has diploma in obstetrics and gynaecology, and has a special interest in women's health and antenatal care.
