At Ashmore City Medical Centre we aim to provide the highest standard of patient care incorporating a holistic approach towards health promotion and diagnosis and management of illness.

We are committed to disease prevention and wellness to all of our patients. In addition to general medicine we also provide skin checks, pre-employment medical examinations, childhood and travel immunisations and a range of other general medical services.

Our Doctors Report

The doctors in our practice are members of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and are Vocationally Registered or are working toward this. They have a commitment to general practice and to continuing medicine education, regularly attending postgraduate medical meetings. All doctors have a keen interest in preventative medicine.

Facilities Report

Ashmore City Medical Centre has easy car parking and disabled access means we can cater to people with disabilities. Our air-conditioned and spacious waiting area is designed for your comfort. The centre has a minor procedure room and an area for emergencies. A television is provided. Stands in the waiting room contain pamphlets on a variety of health issues and we encourage patients to help themselves.

Appointments Report

This surgery operates on a standard consultation appointment with your regular doctor as soon as we are able. Though, there will be occasions when they may not be available and we will need to book you in with another doctor. If you feel your appointment may take extra time and you are making an appointment for a health assessment, medical, immunisation or a surgical procedure, please advise reception when booking the appointment.

Fees Report

Longer consultation have a higher fee, however after Medicare rebate, the "out of pocket expense" is similar. Your medicare refunds can now be organised by direct deposit into your bank account by Medicare at the time of payment. If you wish to access this facility you will need to have given medicare your bank account details or bring your bank account details with you including your BSB, the the time of consultation.

We welcome your compliments and complaints and have a suggestion box on the left hand side of the reception desk with pen and paper available. If you wish to speak to someone about the complaint, the Practice Manager is available to talk to. We may at times ask you to put your complaint in writing.

Our oldest Daughter became unwell while on Holidays, accepted as as a walk in, saw to our Daughter very quickly with treatment and we we back to normal within a day or two.

We moved Mum here from another Ashmore medical centre and the service and support was so much better. Staff were friendly and showed real compassion toward their client's. Highly recommended.

I’ve never been so disappointed, i have come here for over 10 years and unfortunately will not be attending this medical centre anymore. One of the older nurses needs to give up her job, not only has she given my niece (5 months old) the wrong vaccination but couldn’t even document my child’s vaccination properly into the system. Not only that but I will no longer be seeing Maria as our ‘family doctor’ after having my son I’ve experience back pain, hip pain and knee pain to the point where my back gets pins and needles, instead of referring me to get help she simply told me to stop

This is an awful place where the doctors would rather prescribe you Oxycodone and get you hooked on that drug, than refer you to a specialist pain therapy doctor. When trying to discuss natural alternatives, the doctor laughed in my face and said he only deals in science while trying to prescribe Oxy's. Doctors are out of touch with their patients needs and out of touch with the latest in medical therapies.

Love the doctor I see he is great at what he does and listens to my concerns unlike other doctors I have seen in the past. However I don’t like the fact that I got turned away because I couldn’t pay some money on a account fee from missing an appointment from weeks ago. I had already been in once that same week and always paid at each appointment. I only had to go back as I had concerns for my unborn baby and they turned me away when I said I had no money to give. So I took my business somewhere else that didn’t turn me away over $10 and I’m glad I did because their was something going

I have used this practice a few times now to visit Dr Fowler. Wait times are minimal and staff are always pleasant. Yes there is an out of pocket contribution but worth it to not be waiting an hour for an appointment.

Ive been to the Drs here on and off for the last 10 years. They are always professional and have always been able to make an appointment to suit my needs. Great range of Bulk Billing services. Wonderful Staff and fantastic Drocors. Great Surgery.
