We have accommodation for everyone and every budget ranging from units with ensuites, cabins and spacious camping grounds. Offering good old fashioned hospitality the Musgrave Roadhouse, located in the Cape York Peninsula, is owned and operated by one of the early pioneering families of the region - the Shepards.

Serving fuel and food 7 days a week the roadhouse also serves a cold beer in its licensed cafe. EFTPOS facilities are available along with two public phones conveniently located at the entrance of the property. Accommodation is offered in one of the 14 cabins or on their camping grounds with showers and toilets.
Services
The Musgrave Roadhouse is located 136 kilometres north of Laura, and is halfway between Cairns and Weipa, providing an ideal resting place for travellers heading north to the Cape York Peninsula. The roads coming out of Lakefield, Kowanyama and Pormpurraw all meet up at Musgrave - once again making Musgrave Roadhouse an ideal base.

A welcome overnight stop on you “Trip to the Tip”. There’s not a lot here except the camp ground.

Very busy but a welcome place to spend the night on our way down the PDR. The staff were great, amenities adequate/great compared with those at the tip. Croc feeding, horse patting and good meals. Happy campers.

Great place to camp over when driving the PDR, you even get a free crocodile feeding show at the end of the day. Has all you need as in toilets, showers and laundry tubs. If your not camping over...the chips with gravy are a 'must have' to help with the long red ride....thankyou...🙏

Friendly staff and good roadhouse meals. Basic accommodation is pretty expensive but clean and functional. Restraunt is licensed so you can have a cold beer with your meal

A very popular place for camping for weary travellers with well kept amenities and a convenient store and wonderful meals. Very friendly, helpful staff and the station owner, John, is a true meaning of outback hospitality. The Telegraph station has a history to the place, where there's a display of earlier times. Highly Recommended!!!

Beautiful view of the starry sky and Milky Way at midnight, plenty of shade and horses + freshwater crocs and turtles to feed! Staff are very friendly and engaging and a pleasant surprise was the cool night and clean facilities (shower, toilet and sink). Wish I could’ve stayed longer than 1 night!

A great place to spend the night with all the essentials; tasty food, good selection of drinks, clean amenities, large camping site and the footy on Saturday night! Make sure to say hi to Molly the parrot and enjoy the horses and wallabies. Just like a home away from home.
