The receptionists at the Nillumbik Medical Centre are incredibly rude. The latest example was when my wife went in recently to ask about getting our daughter vaccinated against COVID. Without looking up, the receptionist shoved a card towards my wife and barked "book online". Following this, we decided to move to another medical practice in Eltham and we have found the service to be far superior.

The Doctors are good but the receptionists go out of their way to be difficult. Fed up with their attitude. They will not answer an email if you are sitting at work in an open office and want to converse by email for privacy reasons they will just keep telling you via email to call the surgery. Its 2021 try and get your head around the fact that some people work full time and need to correspond by email. They won't they are just arrogant and take pleasure in being unhelpful. I have to resort to emailing the GP directly because the receptionists will not do their job. It seems like the doctors have

The Doctors are pretty good, but the receptionists are awful - the entire front-desk is populated by "Karens" who make you feel like an insect that they can barely tolerate. What I don't understand is how individuals like this end up working reception at medical centres where they are face to face with unwell and potentially vulnerable people, some of whom may even have psychiatric illnesses. They need sensitivity training, because they absolutely abominably cold and callous in demeanour. Horrible.
EDIT: My wife asked me to change this review because apparently there is one nice receptionist there

Sadly after 14 years of using this clinic I was shamed and humiliated today and asked to wait outside like a dog. I have a medical condition that prevents me from wearing a mask, yet they still shamed me and acted against DHHS directions and against the discrimination laws. You have lost my families business. They are doctors dealing with all kinds of medical issues, they should know better.
