Nice budget motel very close to shops and eateries. Comfortable rooms with a split system air conditioner and ceiling fan. Smallish TV but ok. Wifi very limited. We couldn't use to call via Messenger etc and phone reception bad. We used guest laundry which was good. Would recommend if you only need a place to sleep.

Booked a holiday and planned on staying one night in beechworth. First day of our holiday we were in yarrawonga and we tested positive with covid .. this was 2 days before our stay here. I went on and tried to request the fees be waived but through an online chat with beechworth carriage motor in, was asked to provide medical proof… that we had covid. Since only rapid tests are required now I sent a picture of our positive result as that’s all we have. We received a missed call from the property so my partner then rang them back and told them what had happened. We asked for the fee

Delightfully surprised. Clean, spacious, comfortable rooms. Certainly not the Hilton, but you shouldn't expect that with the affordable price that it is. We booked for one night and was so impressed we stayed another.
Walking distance to main street, which was a plus.
Found management to be polite, helpful and friendly. Cat was lovely and friendly too.
Would highly recommend this motel 👍👍

Clean and tidy room. Coffee machine and room prewarmed was appreciated.
Lovely manager with sense of humor and many thanks to the cleaning staff for putting aside daughter's forgotten item! (Mgr even offered to post out).

Beechworth Carriage Motor Inn is three star, and I think that’s fair. The room was fine, with a firm bed and basic linens. We were happy to have air conditioning, as it got very hot during our two night stay. The first night there was a dog barking a bit, as the hotel is pet friendly, and I woke up often due to it. Then motorbikes started their engines early and left them running a while. The second night was quieter, but it seemed our AC didn’t work as well. The room and bathroom was clean enough, but not spotless. The reception has a cat called Mia who is charming. There is a small pool that

Great location but the rooms are very tired and require a freshen up. Rang the night before and asked them to set up an extra fold out bed, which was provided at a cost. As it turned out we didn't require the extra bed but they charged me for both nights anyway. The room had no towels but were promptly provided after mentioning. Early on our first… day we had to change rooms as our roof was leaking right on my wife's head. No apology from the Manager other than to ask me 'is it dripping much?' If the Bates Motel has vacancies we might stay there next time!

Not what I expected & definitely not what was described on there Web site. Upon check in we were greeted by a not so professional host. I asked if it was possible to get a late check out. His reply was no way.… We need to get the rooms cleaned before the next guests arrive & seeing you have checked in early, I'd say that's square. Mind you we checked in 15 mins early. We were asked to pay then to be told the pool was out of order. When we walked into our room we had to stand back as the smell of beech was overwhelming. We had to leave the door & windows open for 1 hour. Until

Not great, arrived and room was freezing. My daughter couldn't sleep in her own bed as we found dead bugs throughout it. No plates, bowls or cutlery were provided in the breakfast cabinet. Neighbours had no… respect for noise restrictions, and had to politely asked them at 12:00am for them to be quiet. Overall I do not recommend this motel. My stay was very unpleasant.
