The Guiding Star Hotel Motel is of local historical and architectural significance as a relatively large and elaborate hotel built to serve the arterial traffic of the Geelong Road, and the industrial activities in the Brooklyn area. We are a complete venue with traditional pub meals, cold beer and wine, a Thirsty Camel Bottleshop, and motel accommodation.
The Guiding Star Hotel Motel is a complete venue with cold beers, traditional pub food, affordable accommodation, and a Thirsty Camel Bottle Shop. It caters for the workmanlike crowd, truck drivers, tradies and travellers on their way to Melbourne seeking clean and tidy accommodation. The Guiding Star Hotel was constructed in about 1930, incorporating an earlier building related to the undeveloped village of Brooklyn.

Oh my goodness I love this place! The room is clean and inviting. Plenty of room for bag/suitcase storage under the bench. The bathroom is clean and fairly modern. The bed is so comfy and made well. It has a split system unit on the wall which is lovely and cool. I love everything about this room, including the colour scheme! The price is great. I'm disappointed my visit wasn't more than one night! Very cosy. The only complaint I would have is there's no complimentary shampoo and conditioner. It just means my hair will have a day off from being washed lol The staff are very friendly and helpful
