We spent a couple of nights at Tranquil Park Maleny. I had two very opposing first impressions when we arrived. One was that the person checking me in had their mask around their chin and not on their face, which I found instantly off putting and irresponsible. The second was the view, which is incredible. We spent hours, day and night, looking at the view. It is a very picturesque place to stay and relax for a few days.
It is clear that the accommodation is very old but they have tried to upgrade where they can. The bathroom and kitchenette are modern, with a really decent amount of plates/cutlery

Staff were friendly and the restaurant was quite nice. We stayed in the disabled access room which was very spacious and had gorgeous views. The room is very tired looking and desperately needs to be renovated. The grab rail in the bathroom came out of the wall when my husband tried to stand from the shower chair and the shower head was broken. The floors were very slippery which is concerning for someone with poor mobility.

The waitress was on point, good business asset because she was well informed and understood the run of the restaurant.
I feel for the chef however, wether he knows or not the age and cuts of meat were off topic as well as the flavours maple should not taste like grandmas honey carrots. The stay is lovely and I can see the owners strive for improvement! Keep moving forward!

AMAZING VIEW with an affordable price! Great stuff and cleaning service. The only thing is:
The bathroom furniture it’s chipped and with failures
The KITCHEN it’s NOT OPEN Monday and a Tuesdays and to have dinner near by you have to do it really early due to the risks of driving at night with the wild life around.

Worst accommodation I've ever stayed at. We visit for a wedding and spent two nights with our 4mth old son. Room was partly renovated with no heating which was not adequate as temps dropped to 6deg overnight. The room smelt of mould, the water was either boiling hot or freezing cold which made bathing our son kinda dangerous. When we asked for another room they said they were fully booked and offered us another room that was mid renovation as well. They then gave us a portable heater that was loud, old and a bit pathetic. We were also offered a $45/night refund. Which we never got so I had to call

The views are amazing, breathtaking on fact! The staff are lovely, delivering room service to us (amazing food by the way), allowing us into our room with a phone call before hand. The room is clean and simple, with limited furniture.
The bathroom though clean, could do with a refurbishment (rust, mouldy silicone, water damaged boards).
The walls are paper thin so if you have neighbours talking or making a cuppa tea you can hear it all.
Having said this, I'd be back again for sure. Priced as your average one night stay anywhere else. Lots of stairs for those with older people coming. Very large
