The Caloundra RSL located in the heart of Caloundra and is a multiple Clubs Queensland Award Winner. The Club has members from all four corners of the globe, as well as a large Sunshine Coast-based following. Our opening hours are 10 am until 3.00 am (dependent on trade) 7 days a week.

0 stars for the venue as a whole ... the managers are poorly educated when it comes to a few specific laws even when the law is placed under their nose (guide, hearing and assistance dogs)... one manager mid 2020 was verbally abusive toward me when there was absolutely no need to be ..it's not just the 2 managers but also a select amount of staff I've found to be rude and disrespectful. Being a Sunshine Coast local I've been frequenting this club over the last 30yrs and over the last 10 it's been on the decline ... more noticeably in the preceding 5yrs. It's not worth the waste of my time or $

Waited over an hour for Garlic bread, mains was even longer. Only got our order after going and asking about it twice. Computer problems blamed and order missed. Did get a full refund as compensation. When the food did come it was amazing. Communication could have been better and problem resolved faster.

Been going to CaloundraRSLfor a lot of years for the Melbourne cup food has always been good but this year for $50 it was was not good pork belly was not nice and cold. Why would you put pork belly on when it's an acquired taste. We had a fun day good company just a shame about the food. The other thing staff should ask before taking your class why would you want to finish your drink after the staff have had their hands around the rim of the glass. Just manners to ask before touching people's drinks

I have been a member for 10 years. 3 years ago I reviewed the Caloundra RSL and gave it a 5 star rating. Oh how times have changed. I went back last month to find half of the place is now taken over by pokies. The lovely Ruby bar is gone, no more great cocktails and sitting at high tables watching live music. The lounge area to the right of the stage is now more dining so no comfy seats to have a coffee, chat and delicious waffle after your meal. The cheap express line has gone, no more affordable meals for our seniors. And the food was way below standard. I had the chicken carbanara, tasted good

Even after a massive ANZAC day, the meals, music and vibe were all going strong.
We chose the 2 for $50 meal deal - pretty good value.
Steak was a little dry but all in all, still edible - especially the hatch fries w hollandaise!
Surprisingly the bottle of wine included was also alright.
Given the limited venues around Caloundra, this would have to be the pick.
Best aspect is the courtesy bus (you don't have to be a member to use)!

My, how Caloundra has changed! We went to the RSL club for dinner and a show a couple of weeks ago and I thought I'd been transported to a major casino. It was packed, with heaps of spaces for dining and gaming, and a huge entertainment venue. The food was better than your average mass dining fare and the prices were really good - aka 'club prices' - how do they do it? The service is fast too. If you go, check out the specials; I guess they change regularly, but some of them were the cheapest steak and seafood I've seen in a while.
