We do not practice 2-minute medicine; we take the time so that we deliver quality medicine. We get to know our patients and their families extremely well, and are firm believers in preventative health. All our doctors are vocationally registered, which requires them to undergo regular postgraduate education, independently assessed by the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.

About us Report

PSMC was established in 1982 by Dr Larry Light. It started with just 2 doctors and 1 practice nurse, and has now grown to a large multidisciplinary practice with 7 Doctors, 2 practice nurses and a Diabetes Educator. The Royal Australian College of GPs (RACGP) is the peak body that represents all practicing GPs in Australia.

Our Team Report

Dr Biswas is a caring and understanding General Practitioner who takes an interest in all aspects of her patients' health needs and wellbeing. She enjoys caring for patients of all ages and has special interests in women's health and preventative health. Dr Tay enjoys her role as a General Practitioner because it allows her to interact with and look after people of all ages and backgrounds.

I've been using the telehealth services several times through Pier St Medical and the experiences were great. It is easy to make appointments through the reception and the doctors are friendly and helpful.

Doctors are amazing here but the receptionist my god I'm actually horrified she still has her job 🤦🏻‍♀️ never in my life have a drs receptionist made it so difficult to book or speak with your Dr especially considering your paying them for the appointment everytime I've called the receptionist has always been extremely rude.

The staff (doctors and nurses and reception) are very professional and friendly, I highly recommend Pier Street Medical Centre. I was so pleased to have found this medical centre when I moved to the state. I was very impressed with their service earlier in the year, before the pandemic and I still am during these difficult times. Their website is very good too.

So disappointed in the lack of customer service - to arrive at 9am appointment to be told the doctor you’ve booked into over a month ago isn’t in today with no prior phone call to make other arrangements. The receptionist was not empathetic at all and so rude.
