In the last 20 years Kick boxing has surged in popularity for the average person wanting something more from their training routines.
At Bulldog Gym Balgowlah, you will be taught all aspects of Thai boxing and kickboxing. Whatever your reason for wanting to try Muay Thai - it's all there for you from beginner to fighter level. Muay Thai is known as the art of 8 limbs as it uses punches, kicks, knees, and elbow strikes. The moves are very practical to apply so anyone at any level can come in and get started.
Even though she's usually right, for once I'm glad I didn't listen to the missus when she said this over 20 years ago. I did it anyway and 3 months later we couldn't squeeze the 50 women into our school and it was the catalyst for moving to our existing larger full-time premises. Each lesson is different, so the kids learn many skills - punching, kicking, general fitness, as well as learning discipline and self-defence from bullying. They gain confidence, participate in an activity they love, and they also learn respect for their bodies and how to better conduct themselves amongst themselves and their peers.
