Our entire team are passionate sports enthusiasts who between them Kite, SUP, Surf, Foil, Skate, Windsurf, Sail, Swim, Freedive, Photograph, Climb, and Spear.
A business is nothing without a passionate team behind it. The team is diverse in background but share the same appetite for fun and excitement. Everyone kitesurfs, everyone electric skates and everyone either loves hydrofoiling or is in the stages of learning. The most important thing for a team is to work well with people and to all share a familiar focus on making people happy by engaging them in the sports we love.
Welcome to Western Australia's Favourite Kite School, and probably, Australia's best stocked kitesurfing shop. We have been running kite lessons since 2000 making us the oldest, most experienced and safest kitesurfing school in Australia. We haven't been around this long by accident! Our lessons are designed to get you up and riding quickly without skipping over any of the more important steps to make you a confident and independent kiteboarder.
A lot has changed over the last 20+ years in kitesurfing coaching, but our passionate, and knowledgeable team are still dedicated to getting you up and having fun, safely and quickly! The school generally operates 7 days per week between October and April each year as long as its windy, check the lesson schedule here.
If you've lived in Perth for longer than a year, you know all about Perth winter, how long it is, and how wet it can be. We like to take a winter break to Mauritius. Bought an electric skateboard for over $2k and had multiple hardware issues. The staff were unhelpful and just directed me to the supplier. I would have been better buying straight from the supplier as there has been no value to buying local. If you're going to be the distributor at least back your products.

Thanks so much to the team at action sports for a fabulous experience both on the beach and in store. Booking lessons was easily done via their online booking system and Wendelien was amazing at keeping us up top date and adjusting lesson times according to the weather conditions. Herself and the other instructors, Shannon and Mika, were all… enthusiastic, friendly and really passionate about what they do which made for a really great introduction into Kitesurfing for both myself and my son. The lessons were fun, tailored to our personal skill level and needs and had a large focus on safety

Kite school was awesome and highly recommended and thanks to Wendelien and Shannon who have amazing patience and great knowledge and instruction. Always keep you informed and updated on the weather situation and best times to book your lessons. Great instruction with the headphones too it makes it so much easier. Even though I finished my lessons the instructors still help and offer advice when you head down on your own. such a great experience and thanks for making it easy!!

Amazing instructors ! The lessons where thorough from theory to practical! Everything you need to know and learn is gone over. 3 lessons got us practicing getting up on the board which was amazing ! I would… definitely recommend the school they really care about your progress and safety! A special shout out to our instructor Wendelien !

Absolutely everything! The instructors are great. I was up and running by my third lesson. The skills I've learnt have saved me numerous times, be it a self rescue or body dragging up wind to recover my board, absolutely invaluable. They don't stop there either, always happy to answer a question or two and they keep an eye on everyone occasionally assisting others (and me) if they get into trouble. I wouldn't change a thing if I had the chance. Thanks!

Totally impressed with the company. I brought my gf some kiting lessons and had a small issue that I brought up with the owner. He and the team handled my issue with total profesionalism. I'm totally impressed because of other companies don't handle a issue in such a great manner. I would highly recommend getting lessons with action sports.

Very good setup. Booked via phone, they sent out notes & links to video to learn before the first lesson. It is a good idea as it resulted in more time learning kite handling and board control. The voice headsets were great for feedback while in the water. Got up and flying which was great. Very good fun - both Martin and Wendolien were good.
