Saving grace is Alicia at reception - calm and helpful.
Pretty sure our original booking room was given away (as per other reviews). Room was a lot smaller and we originally booked for 4 single beds, for 4 adult, however were put in a 2 bedroom place with a single and a double bed. Microwave and carpet had mould. Room had a bad stench. I have severe allergies and asthmatic, so this did not contribute well. The doonas were gross to touch, so we just slept and used the sheets. Toilet was not cleaned properly, nor the windows or mirrors (could tell it was wiped with a wet, unclean cloth).

Do not believe the good reviews, they are false. If you check each one only has one contribution and is new. DO NOT STAY HERE. First room was so dirty I would not let my dog stay in it. Moved to a second room after complaining and the people next door are smoking and cooking drugs. Whole floor stinks of dope. Complained nothing done. Pool broken down.

Overall a very poor experience I must say. It was a total scam when I got the room (completely different to what I was committed to through Booking.com) and the room was dirty with socks on the floor from the previous guest.
Had a chat with the reception and had them to change to another room with a poor service provided by the staffs.
Another room is better? No it doesn’t just stop there. The room is dirty with p** still on the toilet. Requested to clean but nothing was done 3 hours later.
I have no words for my poor experience at Arrow on Swanston. Definitely not a second time!

Simply do not book or stay here.
We booked for the Penthouse (5 people) and were told upon check-in that the room was unavailable. When I proceeded to ask why, the clueless receptionist said "I'm not sure". Then he told me that the room had been damaged. I asked why I had not been contacted about this prior to arrival and he said "I'm not sure". When I fact checked this information with another colleague, they told me it hadn't been damaged and the room had just been overbooked and taken by someone else. ZERO COMMUNICATION OR CARE IN THE WORLD.

I was wondering why this place even has an average 3.2 star rating (it really should be a 1), but then when I properly had a look through all the “high” ratings, almost all of them were written by accounts that looked like they were created by the hotel itself and have only ever written the one review🤡🤡

Very poor service. They sold us a deluxe “apartment” for four people with 3 beds. My son needs to squeeze himself in 1m x 50cm sofa with no bedding or towel. Stuff can’t open the garage so you can’t drive in. Then, when they finally manage, you need to walk with all your luggage down that carpark (few levels, no elevator) to get through the reception to go to another building far away (with your luggage). No trolley available. It’s a joke! Avoid at all cost!

We booked deluxe king apartment, but got way lower class room, which wasn’t cleaned properly. We checked in late and I think staff has given our room to someone else, because reception staff asked us to sit and wait for 10min. while they intensively researched something on PC. At the end we were offered a way different class room, way lower standard that we were lead to believe as per advertised hotel information.
In addition, the room was not properly cleaned.
There was plastic bottle behind bedside table. Kitchen cupboards had traces of syringe being used, as snapped plastic part of the needles
