Berwick Inn Taverner Hotel
Sitting tall on High Street is the Berwick Inn Hotel, a local institution well known and loved by the local community and beyond. Originally known as the Border Hotel, we've been an important community meeting centre and major staging post en route to the gold fields of Gippsland, and we like to think that we remain the central pillar of the local area to this day.

Dine in our Bistro and experience the best of our menu, inspired by our local suppliers and producers. We offer your choice of succulent steaks, wholesome pastas, fresh seafood and all the pub classics you know and love done just right. If you're in the mood for a brew, head into our Club Lounge where our rustic and warm interior allows for the perfect quiet drink or a cheers with friends.
Services
Our Bistro is well known for our delicious food, spacious seating and quality service. Serving lunch and dinner every day of the week, our menu takes inspiration from local suppliers and Victorian producers. Featuring a selection of succulent steaks, wholesome pastas, fresh seafood, plus all the pub fare you know and love.
We pride ourselves on having something for everyone, with a huge range of wine available, hailing from local Victorian producers, to throughout Australia and imported overseas drops. We wouldn't be your local without a huge range of beer on tap either. Take a look at the selection we've got and toast with your mates.
The Berwick Inn Hotel is a versatile function space, and one of the most popular in Melbourne's south east. Located on High Street, and in Berwick's central area, we can cater for everything from milestone birthdays to engagements, corporate functions plus many more. Our packages are designed to cater to your requirements, and room layouts are able to be altered to better suit your event.
We strive to be at the heart of our local community by providing a place for friends to meet, for families to relax and to host local functions and events. We are the unofficial 'clubhouse' for a number of local sporting teams - a place to reconvene after matches, sell raffle tickets, celebrate victories and commiserate losses.

Best restaurant experience I've had in a long time, even before lockdown. Food was incredible, the service amazing. My little brother wasn't ignored as he usually is, was asked questions directly and treated beautifully by the waitresses. Overall everyone is happy and left with massive smiles. Thanks so much!

Really had a bad experience. This was the cocktail Long Island tea they gave me without ice and garnish.
Waitress was so rude as well. It was our first visit here.
Never coming back.

I have lived in Berwick for 2 years now and have made the Berwick Inn my favourite eating out place, both weekly on my own when I do my weekly shopping and for special occasions with family. It’s become my home away from home.
I love the meals and I love the friendly atmosphere. I especially enjoy the choice available in senior sized meals. I have eaten elsewhere and been served meals double the size and double the cost and they’ve been wasted on me. Plus, I have the satisfaction of a guaranteed tasty and well cooked meal every time.

This is a great, classic pub. No try hard modern twists.. Just the classic Australian pub feel with a ripper bistro. The staff are great and the food well priced. Great choice if your undecided on were to go.
Not alot for the kids to do but they still have fun.

The 400g ($40) rump steak was quite poor... flavorless and rather tough. Definitely not worth it. The tempura battered prawns appetizer was ok but way over priced for 5 prawns ($18). The Tuscan chicken was disgusting.

We booked a table for 18 people for a birthday and were told we’d all be seated at one table and that the bar would be open until 1AM. Both of these things did not happen. They seated our group across two tables and the excuse from a very rude lady was that the others were booked (we booked days ago) Usually when this happens anywhere else I’ve booked they tell you that you will be split up and if we knew we would of booked somewhere else. The bar ended up closing at 10:30PM & they kicked us out. The gentleman I spoke to about our issues was very apologetic and lovely but the person he then

I was rather surprised when I came across this pub, but that probably had something to do with a number of rather disappointing ones that I had recently visited. Yeah, this pub is a bit of a hike from the city, slap bang in the middle of suburbia, but as it turns out, this pub was actually pretty cool. I guess the fact that they had craft beers on tap really did something in that regards, as did the really nice beer garden out front as well. Yeah, this place was a really pleasant surprise.

The Berwick Inn has retained that wonderful country pub feel. The beer garden overlooking the Main Street is great for a relaxing afternoon and on the cold winter nights sitting with a red on the sofa in front of the fire while chatting with the locals makes you feel so welcome. The food has never disappointed

For a local pub, in Berwick, the food is okay. They offer all the regular pub meals and occasionally spice it up with a special.

Nice and chilled for a quiet lunch, but if you're heading there for dinner, be careful on a Friday as the place turns into the local nightclub for teens from everywhere (and the occasional older partier).

And for us locals, the Bezza is a place that must be visited - wether its for a meal or that one too many drinks.

I feel like this place has gone down hill over the years. It used to be a really nice bistro that was almost always full and had a really good atmosphere. Since they've renovated the space so that the pokies room is now opened up to the dining section, it just seems cheaper. That's not helped by all of the fake plants all over the place either.

The food is much better than your average suburban TAB. They always do good steaks and seafood and they serve up some particularly good kangaroo.

Full disclosure: I spent a good two years of my life behind the bar at the Berwick pub, serving Bundy and Coke to boozed up men who delighted in propositioning the bar staff at every opportunity.

Funnily enough though, they were some of the funnest times I have had (not being propositioned, more working with a fun bunch of people).

The Berwick pub, or Bezza as it is known to locals, is an ancient institution in this corner of the world. If you live in Berwick, chances are your dad took your mum on their first date there, or your grandparents wedding guests stayed in the hotel. It's that
