Services
We use only quality MATRIX products and colours - MATRIX is #1 in the USA, and includes an organic range, and ammonia free colours. All MATRIX colours contain Ceramide Oil which repairs & nourishes your hair, leaving it shinier, healthier & more vibrant, and YES - 100% grey coverage! Your service will always be performed to the same high standard each and every time regardless of whether you are our first client for the day or our last.
Our tiered pricing structure for all of our cutting services relates to the experience level of the stylist. The difference between the seniors is an internal grading system we have at the salon for the stylists that are more highly skilled in the craft. At Chroma Hair Studio, we lead a team of Caring, Talended and Inspired Hairdressers who create amazing looks for our clients.
I Recently participated in the Matrix colour collective competition and won Australian people's choice award. BHBE 2019 - 3rd apprentice ladies cutting. I am super keen to enter more competitions and training courses to learn as much as I can. Hairdressing inspires me to be creative in every way. Every day I get to change the way people feel about themselves and their hair by giving them a new hair look that inspires them to be their best self.

We place a huge importance on being environmentally conscious. As eco-friendly salon owners we try to diminish our impact on the environment by the materials that make up our workspaces and our equipment, in fact chroma was actually constructed using some reclaimed materials: our light fittings were salvaged from a second hand shop and repainted and we created the space within the existing walls to minimise additional new materials.

They bleached my beard just in time for Christmas! It's hard to find any hair studio that does it so I'm glad. I was forewarned as to the probably outcome of the bleaching (not likely white but it would get close and it would take more than one visit- but I had to space them out to avoid hair damage) and effect on my skin beforehand. I was unaware it would take 4.5 hours the first time but they probably told me and my mind couldn't comprehend it so blocked it out :D Nice people, professional attitude, and always busy (which is an excellent sign). First time at Chroma with Isabella. Very happy with the care and attention taken. Was not expecting a great result on first visit as it usually takes about 3 cuts before the hairdresser is familiar with one's hair. Not so today - walked away with a great haircut and the next appointment made.

Lauren has been cutting and colouring my hair for quite a while now. She has always done a fabulous job and is a lovely, bubbly person who obviously has a great passion for her work and making sure her Clients are satisfied. I signed up for the 6 week challenge & I had my first session today. I genuinely had such a great experience today in the salon. I was really nervous to come in and start my challenge, however I immediately felt comfortable and welcomed and the whole service was amazing! The head massage was the best and my hair smells, feels & looks incredible! I actually left the salon understanding what went down and was always informed with what was going on. I can’t wait to come back next week! Totally looking forward too it 🙌🏻

It was my first haircut in years and they really made me feel welcomed & cared for.
I had, Amanda, a young up an coming trainee, she took so much care and attention into making sure that I got what I wanted.
I added an additional Deluxe hair treatment mask, scalp massage and hot towel wrap which is just perfect if you want to relax.
Towards the end of my appointment I had a complimentary free consultation

Love love love my hair done expertly by beautiful Bella. She was so patient and took the time to explain everything from start to finish and was honest about the issues and outcomes possible. She was honest and super professional. I had jet-black hair (as you can see the top of my head) and in no time I got the exact result I wanted. I couldn't ask for more.
