I'm naturally a people person and enjoy working with people from all walks of life, young and old, men and women. I believe in a holistic approach to personal training and our sessions are tailored to your needs - and fun is always on the program! -Matt Elphick. I've been changing lives through fitness and mental wellbeing of Williamstown, Newport and South Melbourne locals for many years now.
Matt performs most of his personal training and group fitness sessions out of his personal gym in Williamstown Nth. He also performs outdoor sessions in Newport, VIC 3015, South Melbourne and South Kingsville. You have access to all the latest gym equipment and technology to make your transformation as quick and easy as possible.

At the start of 2021 I set myself a goal to try and lose at the least 10 kilos and pick up my fitness a bit. I didn’t actually expect that to happen but since training with Matt I’ve not only met the goals but far exceeded them.
A great trainer who gets the needs of his clients, keeps you motivated to meet and exceed your goals and is also genuine. I’m really proud of the progress I’ve made and I owe that to his guidance.

I have been training with Matt for close to 6 months now and have really enjoyed the personal and motivating challenge of improving my fitness and wellbeing. Not only does Matt really take the time to understand what I really want to achieve but also in my case recommended improving other areas that would help achieve my main goals more efficiently.

I came across Matt on FB about 5 months ago and have been going to the gym consistently since. Matt’s great because he really catered to my fitness level (which was terrible when I started) and he makes sure I keep on track even when I’m not in the mood to work out. Matts also great at working with all the creaky bits you get when you’re a bit older. I’d definitely recommend Matt if you’re looking for a PT who’ll get you going to the gym on the regular and (dare I say it) enjoying it.

I’m so glad to have joined forces with Matt at Fortify Fitness! He has transformed my thinking about exercise and made it fun! He knows my personal goals and helps me work toward achieving them. I've been working with Matt for just over six months, as I needed assistance with a rehab program after shoulder surgery. Matt has been instrumental in my recovery, working directly with my physio, and surgeon's direction. The instruction he's provided has meant I haven't needed extra treatment and am well on the way to getting back to my previous level of fitness and activity. I would highly recommend Matt to anyone looking for specific, tailored fitness programs.

Matt has been great to work with. He focuses on getting to know you so he can build a holistic approach to your training. He's very good at being able to judge your headspace upon arrival, and adapt the workout accordingly! I've learnt lots of new techniques, machines and skills whilst working with Matt. I have really enjoyed training with Matt. I have learnt a lot about using correct technique and posture and feel more confident using all areas of the gym. Matt is dedicated and highly motivating. He is very friendly and committed and meets every person at their point of need.

Matt got us signed up to do Tough Mudder which I would never have done otherwise! He pushes you and makes you laugh at the same time... mostly at him 😂 Seriously, he's good and I wish he wasn't moving
