Founded by optometrist Jo Twaddell in 2006, we've been helping our loyal customers see the world clearly for over a decade. A glasses wearer herself, Jo saw a need to provide spectacle wearers with more choice in a market where mass-produced eyewear is the norm. No two people are the same and we believe glasses should be just as unique.
WINK is based in Elwood but our community goes beyond with word of mouth doing the talking for us. We're a myopia/hyperopia utopia. Come see for yourself. Jo is passionate about eyes! Since graduation from Optometry at QUT in Brisbane in 1993, Jo has worked in Australia, Canada and the UK.

Services
Freshen up your glasses that are dull, scratched or chewed by the dog! Frames are polished by a skilled technician using a buffing machine with special attention to problem areas. Broken arm, hinge replacement, soldering metal or welding acetate. Repaired at a specialty lab with care and efficiency.
If you think about it a pair of glasses are like a trusted friend. We call on them to help us see the world clearly, they give us daily (in)sight and hanging out with them makes us look really smart. The friendship shared between a human and a pair of spectacles is intimate and at WINK it's our job to find your perfect match.

Low quality of service and dishonesty - Ordered Moscot glass in size 44; however, the store only had size 46. Hence, they ordered the size I wanted. It took them three weeks to get my order in and when got my glass they gave me size (46) that they already had in store without telling me. So I got the refund for both the frame as well as the lens. It is recommended for the store to respect the customer needs.

Drove past years ago and spotted Wink. Thought it was the best name for an optometrist and that I'd get my next pair from them. Not the most logical way to choose where to shop but 3 years later and in need of a new pair, I returned. I'm glad I did.
It's easy to get paralysed by the choice of awesome frames but the staff (thanks Janelle!) are great at helping you find a pair that you'll be very pleased with. Will be back again for sure.
Should have gone to Spec Savers? Nah, go to WINK Optometrists.

This little boutique optometrist in Elwood really opened my eyes.
Nestled in the Ormond Road shops, a tiny little shop that you really have to see to believe. The design is quirky and the range is fantastic. So many incredible frames and styles. The staff are tremendously friendly and know style and fashion, also they're passionate about what they know which was incredibly refreshing.
Maybe I'm being too blasé about handing out the 5-star rating but you just really don't get a start to finish experience like this often. I emailed them first asking to order in a specific set of
