Rainbow Sands offers a combination of motel style accommodation and one and two bedroom apartments. We are 500 metres from the surf beach and even closer to the main township, the local Hotel and restaurants. Our facilities include a pool, spa and sauna as well as BBQ area and conference room. We are located on the gateway to the southern tip of Fraser Island and the Coloured Sands.

The 2 bedroom apartments are a dual key apartment using a 1 bedroom apartment and a motel room. We had two rooms booked and 4 people couldn’t make it at short notice, due to COVID border closures. We thought we would be charged the original price for two rooms. The staff were understanding we didn’t need the other room and didn’t charge us. Clean large rooms. Good location, close to shops. Will definitely be back.

My Partner and his work mates stayed here while working in Rainbow beach. And we came up to stay for the weekend too. Very clean and Accommodating as we have kids too. Very friendly and helpful staff. Close to everything you need. Highly recommend. Decently priced. We will definitely come back for a family getaway.

Further away from town than most other places but still walkable distance. The spa was freezing, colder than the pool and also both full of ants and leaves etc. Room itself was well equipped with wardrobe, TV, fridge, microwave, kettle, tea, coffee etc, air-conditioning and fan. Plenty of towels and clean room. Overall I was pleased with my stay just a shame about the pool area.
