TLC Acupuncture Brisbane is Brisbane's largest professional acupuncture clinic. Made up of a team of eight highly trained, experienced acupuncture health professionals with special interests across a variety of different fields. We aim to provide the highest level of care for our patients, and utilizing both traditional techniques as well as more modern scientific methods.
What is acupuncture? Acupuncture is one of the oldest healing methods known to man. The theory of Chinese medicine is by placing extremely fine needles into specific points on the body, we restore the free flow of energy, allowing the body to heal itself. What is shockwave therapy? Radial Shockwave therapy is a revolutionary treatment, with outstanding results.
Most new patients are nervous about the level of pain they will experience during an acupuncture treatment but rest assured you are worrying about nothing. Our acupuncturist manipulates the needles to try to obtain a slight tingling or aching sensation but never a sharp painful sensation. Acupuncture needles are so fine that some needles may not be felt at all.
The first question everybody asks when we suggest acupuncture to our friends is "does acupuncture hurt?" Acupuncture needles are not like the needles they use when you go to the doctors. Acupuncture needles are incredibly thin and flexible, about the same thickness as a piece of hair. Ten acupuncture needles can fit into the tip of a standard needle from your GP.

This is an amazing place to go. We needed an Acupuncturist quite urgently (Easter Monday) and they lady that answered the phone from one of their premises rang around all the others to see who could fit my partner in. We took him to the Hamilton venue and she was amazing. He has had bad nerve pain for several months and is seeing a chiropractor but unfortunately wasn’t able to get an appointment over Easter break and his pain was getting worse. Donna worked on him for 90 mins (at a very cheap rate considering) and he’s not had this much relief from pain since his back/leg nerve pain started

I’ve been seeing Elisa for a couple of months now to get regular acupuncture treatment for my TMJ, headaches and women’s health and herbs, I have seen a huge improvement to my overall health and well being.

I have been seeing Bing who has been incredible in helping a chronic condition that has caused a lot of pain over many years, Her amazing wealth of knowledge, very caring nature and intuition is above and beyond and I can’t thank her enough for the relief she has given me. Popped in a few times now with intense lower back muscular pains where i could barely move(After overdoing it at gym)... TLC fit me in pretty quick and got right to the source of my pain. The practitioner was awesome and pin pointed my issue and sorted it out. By the time I left, 75 percent of the pain was gone and the rest overnight.
I like to understand how everything works and why I was in pain, the practitioner explained everything perfectly for me.
