An average experience at the Flagstaff City Inn. Our room was clean and tidy as we arrived. The hotel in general could need a bit of maintenance and a makeover. It’s cheap and you don’t get more than you pay for. We were lucky to get a free parking spot.
One of the bed side lamps wasn’t installed properly and on its way off the wall and none of the bedside lamps were working. We stayed for two nights and there was no cleaning of the room during our stay.
Everything taking to consideration it was an OK experience.

The staff at the reception was excellent, let me check 2 hours early which was great considering my flight arrived in Melbourne in the morning and I barely had any sleep.
The room itself was relatively large, bathroom was okay. Hairdryer, Iron, Ironing board were all inculded which was very nice. However the room, and the entire hotel as a whole needs a bit of maintenance. The carpet didn't look clean at all.

For a big group 7 in total, it was just what we needed clean room, super convenient to the central city and at an affordable price only issue was a roadside window wouldn't close properly so the traffic was loud!!
The lady at the front desk couldn't have been more helpful. If your not looking for 5 star luxury but somewhere to dump your stuff while you look around the market then I highly recommend staying here! We booked a family room and a double for a night.

It's location is good not in centre of the city so there is a walking factor or public transport or you want to travel quickly and comfortably you can take a variety of taxi services. On the other hand the location can offer a bit more quiet time as you don't have all the noises apart from the traffic noise. The rooms themselves now are nothing special they are spacious the ones I saw but I'd bet that there would be rooms which are not as long or wide as the ones I've seen. They have all the modern comforts the location of the rooms is nice as you walk up the staircase you step on an open area

The hotel is in the city and close to everything. Indian and Pakistani restaurants are at the walking distance from the property. The hotel has limited free parking which was great considering its location. The managers including Mauris and David were great at customer service. They were polite and respectful and also allowed me to park my car for an extra 3 hours even after I checked out from the property at 10 am.
The room was nice/ clean and was just big enough for a couple.
There is no lift in the property. That means you have to carry your luggage using stairs. I am not sure if this property

The facilities are basic. I was supposed to have two beds in my room but they took one out, for no reason. Didnt make much fuss though because I was only there for one night. My room was near to the housekeeping station, the workers were making so much noise and smoking so that wasn't pleasant at all. They have limited parking space.

The staff are friendly and helpful.
No lift stair case narrow with suitcase.
Once on our level the first thing I see is a pot plant that is a dead plant and the looks of someone been sick in it.
The room was a good size happy for a good kitchen.
Very dusty needed a good clean fan had a thick layer on it.
Cost was a good price

Room was exactly as expected. Great value for a great location hotel (if there for an event at Etihad) that is basic but has all that you need. Simple small rooms, bed was comfortable enough and OK pillow. Bathroom was neat and clean. TV was very cheap and difficult to operate but was fine. Checking in and out was fast and simple and the staff were kind.
