Since graduating from the University of Queensland in 1986, Murray has spent the majority of his career in Melbourne. He has been the owner of the Middle Brighton Veterinary Centre since 1991 and along with his wife, Anna, has built it into the busy, well respected clinic we see today. The clinic is based on excellence in patient care and customer service.
The internet is a wonderful place full of information on training and behaviour - but always be mindful of who is giving the information and their expertise in the area. This is a link to walking dogs and breaks down the process - it is one of the hardest things to teach a dog - to walk with discipline, mainly because owner are in hurry and send the wrong message to the dog.
In addition to looking after cats and dogs, our Vets and Nurses are well trained to care for the veterinary needs of rabbits. We have a close association with a number of specialists and consult with them on a regular basis for the more complex medical and surgical cases. Referral to a specialist may be the best course of action for your pet.
Dental disease is the build up of plaque & calculus (the yellow/brown material on teeth). This leads to gingivitis, inflammation of the gums, & the loss of the supportive structures that hold teeth in place, periodontitis. If we do not treat at the Grade 1 Stage then your pet is heading to chronic infection & chronic discomfort.

They literally saved my dog's life. He had an allergic reaction when I was walking him and I went in without an appointment just before they closed. They immediately looked after him and had him back to normal in an hour. They didn't even charge me that much. They are the best vet I have ever been to and you can tell they genuinely care about animals. I can't thank them enough.

Incredible and supportive team. Our golden retriever puppy has been to the vet way too many times for digesting foreign objects. She’s unstoppable when it comes to consuming bad things. Dr Murray and the girls know Abbie and us very well now. Every time we go there they are so helpful to fit us in and make sure she is treated well and take the time to offer other solutions for us. Highly recommend!

I love this clinic, I have never come across a warmer more friendly and caring practice. Murray has been amazing for our pet's serious eye injury. His expertise is second to none. He managed to avoid a surgery which was high risk, through patience, skill and time. This practice puts care first and is very reasonable in fees which I have not experienced before. I cannot rate our experience high enough. A big thank you to the absolutely wonderful team! I would not go anywhere else.

Absolute fantastic vet. Could not be happier and glad I looked around before choosing which vet for my puppy. Can now see why everyone at the dog park recommend me to this clinic. As a first time dog owner I feel in the safest hands and they have made the experience of having a puppy as least stressful possible!! Not only do they go above and beyond with charlie but also they have helped me have the best experience of owing a animal and always assisted me with any questions!

Fantastic service! Middle Brighton Vet Clinic was able to fit me in at short notice and were very accommodating. Receptionist was lovely, the front of clinic displays were great and the clinic was clean and functional. Dr.Murray was very gentle and professional, and displayed expert knowledge and understanding of my dogs rather uncommon spinal disease. He was lovely and showed a great awareness of my boys 'special needs' with regards to being fearful - and was able to use luring with treats rather than physical manipulation to assess his range of movement in his neck - which was very much appreciated
