The shop's owner Gabe spent ten years managing large, successful sporting goods and bike shops in California, then another eleven working in dealer development and sales management for Specialized bikes and Cannondale.
His many years working for and managing leading retailers followed by a career in the supply side of the bike world gave him a great understanding of brands, product, bike fitting, retail presentation, community engagement, and service levels that are required to build and maintain a successful bicycle shop.

Training indoors isn't just for winter anymore! That's changed in a major way in the last several years as Smart Trainers, Smart Bikes and indoor training programs have hit the market. Online programs like FulGaz and Zwift allow riders to ride virtual courses alone or in groups, giving wattage, speed, incline, and a very realistic riding experience.
Here at Urban Pedaler we have aligned closely with the Cannondale brand since they are one of the few top brands that have a complete offering across all disciplines, each with it's unique attributes and technologies that make them unique among their peers. Cannondale is a USA brand, steeped in history and well known for several major products and innovative technologies.

You won't find a better bike store in Melbourne. I did a Bike Fit in-store with Paul Davis and he was super helpful, extremely knowledgable and generally an affable bloke who has helped me take my riding to the next level. Gabe, Charlie and the team are much the same and their experience and passion for riding manifests in helping customers of all levels and growing the riding community sans the condescension you might experience at a number of other stores around Australia.

I recently had a bike accident. Gabe was amazing. On the day of the accident he advised me what I should do. He quickly did a bike assessment and coached me through the options of what I needed to do. I received my new bike this week and rode it today for the first time. I felt very well looked after by Gabe and his team and also the Urban Pedaler cycling community who supported me through my recovery by keeping in touch and giving me tips on how to get ‘back on the bike’ once my recovery was over.

Urban Pedaler is possibly the best bike shop in Melbourne. They provide everything a rider needs. I bought my Cannondale Trigger mountain bike through the shop and the service was fantastic. I've also had a bike fit done which helped stop my aching back while riding. Gabe and the team are extremely knowledgeable and helpful.
