Panorama Motor Inn is located at 256 Pacific Highway Charlestown, 150 km North of Sydney and 10km from the Newcastle CBD (Australia). If you are travelling North of Sydney, take the Eastern Lake Macquarie exit from the F3 Freeway towards Swansea/Belmont. After the Charlestown CBD you can see the orange Panorama Motor Inn sign on the left hand side.

Just returned today after 4-night stay.
Looks average from outside however, ticked all the boxes for us.
Stayed in an air-conditioned Queen Room with a balcony.
First sanitised and wiped down everything when initially got in (just precautionary measures due to current pandemic) and pleasantly surprised, no visible dirt was seen on the wipes I used. Very impressive!
Welcoming, refreshing and lightly perfumed smell at the door entrance every time we walked in after retuning from an outing.
Pool in front of our room.
Great, friendly staff.
Would return.

Keep driving past. We had 2 nights booked but Checked out 10hrs later. In that 10hrs, we witnessed a domestic requiring the person to be taken to hospital and another person being arrested. The police were there 4 times for different issues with patrons living there.
Only good part was, we got almost a full refund.
Honestly, stay somewhere else if you value your safety

Luke warm water in the shower, Only 2 Foxtel channels work, no continental breakfast, blurry tv reception even on normal channels, uncomfortable bed, room smelt funny upon arrival, booked a room with 2 singles and a double ended up with one single & a double so I had to share a bed with my daughter which wasn't an issue but would be nice to actually get the room I booked online . No cutlery or plates only cups & tea spoons. Even the toilet paper was like the stuff at a public toilet. Will definitely not be staying again & I don't recommend anyone else staying here.

The photos are not what you get! As soon as we opened the door it absolutely smelt of smoke, cigarette burns all over the furniture and beds that you could see the dip in the middle where the springs had gone.
When we said we can't stay here because we had a baby and toddler staff became very aggressive.

First time stay. We selected this motel due to its location. We were given a room facing the road which resulted in traffic noise from around 5.40 am. Bring some earplugs. The Queen size bed was showing its age, having a big dip in the middle. The free breakfast was fine. A selection of 5 cereals with canned fruit and cold milk. Two fruit juices were also provided. They provided my wife's favorite, raisin bread. I would recommend requesting a room away from the street.There are rooms at the back of the property.
