Combining the four flavours of Thai cooking; sweet, salty, sour, and creamy & balancing them against each other is the secret of an outstanding Thai food. Our Chefs travel regularly to Thailand to gather the fresh ideas, inspiration and the latest culinary skills. The result is a menu which is based on old tradition with many modern twists, which helps us being numbered amongst the best Thai restaurant in Sydney.
The profusion of exotic flavours and fragrances of Thai food has given the cuisine a firm place in the hearts and mouths of Australians. The chefs at Khao San Sydney, one of the best restaurants in Sydney for Thai food, take you on a journey to the world of Thai cuisine. We use traditional techniques, and of course, original ingredients, to serve the proper balance of the bold flavours under the layered complexities of Thai cuisine.

Honestly the best thai food I’ve tried in the city. Squash fritters are a must try - so light and filling at the same time, and not oily at all. Also had the beef khao soi, green curry fried rice, and pad thai. Khao soi was our favourite - curry, noodles, beef all amazing.
Really appreciated the spacing inside the restaurant for safety, our server was kind enough to give us table preference. Will definitely be back!

Honestly one of my favorite places to go since discovering it a few months ago. The Khao soi is some of the best curry I've ever had and is a MUST try when visiting. The masamum curry and pad kra prao are also incredible as well. The drinks menu is quite small so don't go expecting a variety of different drinks but you must go if you want some top of the line delicious Thai food. I recommend this to absolutely anyone who wants some great cuisine.

🐷 Gelatine Piggy With Mung Bean Filling …🍮 Pumpkin Puddings With Shredded Coconut …🥭 Mango & Sticky Rice Pudding With Coconut Cream …🧁 Mini Banana Cup Cakes … . 【 When it comes to desserts, my preference… lies with Western desserts especially the classic French desserts. Today, a change of scenery from the usual Western desserts to ‘Thai’ desserts. 😉 … • Most Thai desserts are made with sticky rice, red beans, coconut, pandan, banana, corn and taro etc… All these common ingredients

Delicious Thai food that is authentic and spicy! When they ask for the spice level, even a 3 is spicy so be careful! We ordered the fresh rolls and the pad thai (not the Bangkok-style one). It was perfect to share for 2 people. Beautiful inside, very colourful, hip music playing in the background. Highly recommend for good Thai food in the city.

Had date night and ordered pad Thai and the m. Curry (can't spell the name). Very good! I don't like coconut normally and found it still very delicious. You can still taste the coconut though, so be warned. Pad Thai is always delicious. The Thai iced tea was on the sweet side but we loved it. Overall, the meal was great and so glad they had room to take us last minute considering it was busy everywhere that day.
