I'm not really a fan of Indian cuisine, as in I don't go out of my way for it. That being said this place is always packed... And that must be a good sign. I popped in recently on a whim, ordered what they recommended (not too spicy if possible) and had a really enjoyable butter chicken with garlic naan. Great flavours, quick service, great view. Will come again!

The food was nice, except the fish came out only half cooked with half of it still translucent. When we told the waiter he put his finger in it to check if it was still cold then took it away without apologising. He then brought back the same fish (now cooked) without the even a word of apology

Was very excited to visit this place since long time but returned back with a big disappointment.
It took them 15min to bring the menus for them to the table and the restaurant wasn’t that busyaswell.
The quality of the food was not up the mark. We ordered , dhaba style chicken which was halfcooked and the other dishes which we ordered were literally bland.
While we raised this issue to the manager of the restaurant, the way he reacted was so rude.
I hope the management will look in to this.

Having done the right thing by booking a table, outside, to turn up on time and see our table offered to a walk-in with a dog, and then to be told to 'just go over there' - a table squashed into the back corner and backing onto a smelly alley - was appalling. The waiter wasn't the slightest bit interested that we had booked (there was no inquiry regarding what name we booked under), he was rude and so we left and will not be returning.

Been to Jewel on the Bay countless times and it never disappoints. Let's start with the food. Had the vegetable samoosas - the pastry was flaky and fresh with a generous portion of potato and pea inside. The mint raita is a great accompaniment. The shahi paneer was completely spectacular. Just the right hint of cardamom and saffron. Naans were soft and fluffy with a crispy base. The service is professional and pleasant. The pricing is good. And the view of Rose Bay looking north just adds to the experience. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Definitely 5 out of 5. My partner and I love Indian food, we have been to so many Indian restaurants in Sydney and this is definitely one of our favourites. Food just tastes perfect! Reasonable price for the location. Staff are lovely. And if you sit outside you can see the ocean too.

Busy place for Indian food, full of locals and the not so locals. It gets both busy and buzzy so definitely get ready for some noise. Food is tasty and the naan bread is delicious. Serving sizes could be bigger based on the price, but the flavour is definitely there. BYO as well, which is always a nice addition.

Service was terrible, staff lied and said the coffee machine was broken, when other customers had coffee. Most dessert options not available, food average, very expensive. $65/head no drinks. Staff not wearing masks, no QR code until we asked, no checking of Vaccine. Not coming back.

Placed an order for delivery over the website and waited just under 2 hours. When it eventually arrived, it was luke warm and very disappointing. The onion bajis are NOT as pictured on the website, they were so bad and didn't taste/look fresh at all.

Could have been a 4 but with 6 people in restaurant not the time to test speakers full blast 6 times with happy birthday song! Had to complain to get them to stop! Samosas overcooked garlic naan dry and tandoori beef was tasty with kick! Best dish was cheese berry strudel with ice cream! Well set out venue bay views! Price a little on high side for Indian!

Amazing Indian food with a beautiful view. The menu is a huge as my appetite when I know that we are heading there for dinner. I love all the options but we will usually grab the chicken tikka masala and the Indian beer that they are serving at the time. If you can score a table outside you will be treated to an amazing harbour view. They do takeaway and the food is just as tasty when heading home to curl on the couch and binge some Netflix or Stan.

Garlic nan was a little dry and thin but the cheese nan was perfect.

Sauces are creamy, just enough meat & food pieces ratio to curry, rice is just enough moisture- everything you'd want to Indian food even as a takeaway option.

Last night was my second time at Jewel On The Bay. The first time was breakfast and all I can say is I definitely will be back for the food, the water view and the friendly welcoming staff. Breakfast in Sydney and surrounding areas is pretty basic but if you're visiting from another country, not so basic. Turkish toast is a staple at most establishments but when you combine it with the wonderful staff and the oh so excellent view of the bay, it's a true winner!

The menu offers breakfast, lunch and dinner, milkshakes, desserts, coffees AND for added interest the place is set up so you

Not the cheapest Indian food, but very good across the board. The vegetable korma, garlic naan, and fried vegetable samosas all get high marks in my book. Even the baklava by the front counter is great - though I'm not sure why they have it at an Indian restaurant, I am glad they do!

I also appreciate that they have their main dishes on display and ready to go, so you can just point to what you want for takeaway and be out the door quickly.

If you are going for dinner, definitely call and make a reservation. They always seem to be totally booked.

For Indian in Sydney, this intimate setting on the shores of Rose Bay is more about location, ambience, and decor than food and service.

The food is average, not to say that it is bland or tasteless, but I've certainly had cheaper, and tastier Indian food around Sydney. The starters of nan bread were probably the only above average meal, but the Tika Masala, was less than exciting.

They do have an extensive wine list, and staff that can recommend the wine based on your meals, although they can get busy in the evenings, the staff try to pay attention, but often look stressed, and unprepared
