Wish I read the reviews before I booked Canberra.. we love good food but this chain just doesn’t cut it, call themselves the meat & wine co but the meat ain’t all that great had better steaks for a lot cheaper,… cocktails had no flavour, service was ok then expect a big bill for something you feel isn’t worth it happy to pay if it’s worth the dollar but we felt ripped off. Wouldn’t return..

Entrees were delicious, pork belly and calamari so tender. They ran out of aged steak, so we each ordered the $95 rump, expecting something melt in your mouth. We were wrong, it was chewy and essentially a glorified hogs breath. Not what we hoped for when paying so much. Dessert platter was absolutely delicious also. Shame the reason we went, for a delicious tender steak, turned out to be the letdown.

Really lovely place with great ambiance. The waitress for our table was attentive throughout and helped suggest wine to go with our meal. My partner got the rib-eye and said it was cooked perfectly. My snapper was quite dry hence I took a star off. The price is quite high but overall it's a nice place for a fancy night out.

We went to the restaurant last night for our 10 year Wedding Anniversary. The food and service was amazing! The restaurant is absolutely beautiful, we felt very La Di Da walking in and dining there. Our waitress, Winnie, was so lovely, helpful and very friendly. Highly recommend. Thank you for such a lovely experience.

One star off because of the waiting time (the staff couldn’t see us the whole time, we have to wait a long time each time we trying to reach a staff member), but the environment is good, will be better if the table next to us wasn’t that loud. Anyway the foods were absolutely amazing, so good. The wagyu tartare is excellent, must try!!!

Fantastic service very attentive waitstaff Ajay was his name. Everything we tasted was fantastic from entrees to mains and dessert. The cocktails were awesome and very imaginative. Raspberry beret is a must. Overall great dining experience.

The ambience and customer service could not be faulted but it took 35 minutes for our mains to be served and when they arrived they were cold which made it not so enjoyable and my steak was very undercooked. I ordered my steak medium to well done and it was served very pink/red in the middle. The calamari was exceptional and the chocolate fondant dessert was a delight but when you pay $124 for mains and wait 35 minutes for them and they are cold and undercooked it ruins the whole experience. The toilets are also unisex and were not clean at all. Definitely not the high quality I would have expected

Food is high quality, we had a beautifully cooked fish and steak; the garlic bread is amazing - juicy and balanced garnished with slivers of fried garlic on top; the kids meal of bbq marinated short ribs and mash is generous and delicious (sorry kid I ate most of it). They also provided a free kids activity pack to keep young ones engaged. You may spend similar to a TGIF place but here you get higher quality albeit smaller portion size - however this just means you leave satisfied, not stuffed from overeating.

Just wanted to edit my review regarding the previous unfortunate experience at Meat and Wine co Chadstone.
They went above and beyond my expectations this time around and loved the dining experience for my belated birthday. Supervisor Jay, was a fantastic host and of course the food was sensational.
Really really happy I went back to my local Meat and Wine co.
Will recommend and definitely be back soon!

Went to the Adelaide meat and wine co. Ordered the steak which waa unfortunately not cooked properly. We were recommended to have the rib eye steak on bone cooked medium but the meat was cooked very unevenly (… part of it was well done )and was very dry. We also asked what ingredient was in the glaze and was told they are not sure as the mix was prepared in head office and sent over. Very disappointing experience.

I overbooked by one when it was terribly busy but I was accommodated. Everything was enjoyable for our Melbourne Cup celebration - the ambiance, the food, specially the set up outside. The staff were very attentive. Steak cooked to perfection. Fish was great too.

Had our 10th anniversary dinner here, which also happened to be our first proper date night during this whole pandemic. Shout out to the awesome team - and the food was just perfect. Very memorable evening for all the right reasons. Keep it up and we'll see you again soon. Cheers

Delicious after delicious after delicious..every dish was delicious! The beef croquettes were packed with filling and flavour, the calamari was soft with an incredible sauce, the pork ribs were perfection, the steak was on point, and the desert was a perfect finisher. The only suggestion I would have is that the fries are garnished better, with the addition of rock salt and rosemary or oregano, as I felt these were a bland addition. Service was also friendly and attentive. πŸ‘ŒπŸΌπŸ˜

While the kitchen area is great looking and has a nice ambiance, hope you don't get sat in the back room with a large freestanding air conditioning unit. Service was not attentive despite not being overly busy. My salad was served slightly warmed as it was sitting on an extremely hot plate. Fine for the chips alternative I'm sure. First time I've been to a steak house and had a recommendation to cook my steak medium. My medium rare steak was very tasty and well prepared.

Seven very happy diners!
From prawns to calamari to scallops to ribs to assorted cuts of steak, including a steak burger - everything was delicious. I don't eat seafood but I was assured by those who did it was lovely.
The African influence is evident in the spices and sauces used on most dishes. For those who prefer 'a la natural' that's okay too - they serve sauces on the side or not at all.
Only down side was trying to get more drinks. They were busy and on a very hot night (40deg) the bar should have expected high demand.
Staff were all friendly and accommodating.

Walking into this place was like WOW...this is a restaurant I will come to again. The ambience on entering and the staff when you walk through the door was not what I was expecting. They were very welcoming.
The waitress was Laura who did her job perfectly. You don't mind paying a little extra for meals when you walk out the door and not think that was a waste of money as with some high end restaraunts.
We had a table of 5 and everyone ordered something different. From prawns to calamari to kangaroo to beef to ribs to pasta everydish could not be faulted. The dessert was amazing. My husband

FINALLY GOT HERE!

I loved it, was so yum.

Great atmosphere guys, an old church styled restaurant on the corner of the intersection. We sat out side on a cold night but it was heated and felt great.

I had the steak.... of course I did its the main food there and it was perfect. Not overly priced either!.

This fine establishment will not disappoint!
