Services
Our dedicated General Practitioners are experienced in all aspects of family medicine and child health. We care for patients of all ages and provide a comprehensive and holistic approach to your health care. Health assessments and preventative screening tests will make sure we treat risk factors and detect disease early.
Chermside Family Medical Centre is a private billing practice and a fee is payable for consultations if you are aged over 16 years of age and below 75 years of age. Bulk billing is available for children under the age of 16 years and patients over 75 years of age, or Veteran's with a gold card. Pensioners and Health Care Card holders will be charged a discounted rate.

I love all the GP’s here they are always friendly and nice and always happy to help, the reception girls on the other hand, the older ones are lovely the young girls need to learn to communicate nicer or they shouldn’t be working there. On the website, they claim that they bulk bill children under 16, this is posted underneath there Saturday fees, which says nothing about children, just fees for regular consults on weekdays and then Saturday’s, and then underneath it states children 16yrs and under BULK BILLED. and then 75 and over bulk billed, they need to state that children have to pay

Today I saw Dr Katharine McNally and I must say how empathetic and caring she was but also incredibly thorough. She gave me her undivided attention, answered all my questions and spent a lot of time to ensure I had the best medical attention I could have. All the doctors, nurses and the receptionists are the most caring team I have ever come across. They practice with the patients best interest in mind. I have never felt rushed at a visit, the waiting periods are short and they always try to fit you in if it’s an urgent/last minute appointment. I would recommend them 100% :)

Highly recommend this place, the reception staff are very polite and professional. Dr. Sharad is the best doc we have seen so far. He is a very positive, friendly, and approachable guy. We have been seeing him for many years now. He has been with us through our pregnancy and has guided us every step of the way, since this was our first pregnancy we were really worried, he made the whole journey for me and my wife as smooth as possible. Highly recommend him.

I had to book an urgent appointment, and fortunately was able to see Dr Richards. The care she demonstrated was fantastic and she made me feel 100% at ease. I have complete confidence and feel I have found a GP for life. The reception staff also responded to my email request for results promptly. Definitely would recommend.

I’ve consulted Dr. Sharad Paliwal and Dr. Eden Richards for my first pregnancy and other ongoing treatments. I’ve found them both to be very personable and genuinely caring. They are excellent at diagnosis and explore all options before suggesting a treatment. You’re in good hands with them. The practice is also well supported with a great admin staff who is very helpful with booking and reschedules. Having a pathology on-site is convenient too. Highly recommend them.
