Our Preschool allows your child to take their first steps in this exciting stage of their education and development. The program is developed in accordance with the State and National frameworks, and is delivered by qualified and experienced staff.

I've worked as a kindergarten teacher for over 30 years in a variety of settings and locations, both in Australia and Papua New Guinea. I've been at Eltham South for 26 years, and our co-educators have been associated with the kindergarten for over 15 years which makes for a very stable and supportive teaching body.
At Eltham South Preschool, we embrace both the Victorian and National Early Years Learning Frameworks. Belonging is the basis for living a fulfilling life. Children feel they belong because of the relationships they have with their family, community, culture and place. Being is about living here and now.
All Three and Four Year Old Enrolments are managed by Nillumbik Council. Four-Year-Old Preschool is subsidised by a government grant per child, Three Year Old Preschool is funded for 5 hours in 2022. Holders of a Health Care Card or Pension Card are eligible for an additional Government Subsidy. If you have one of these cards, please let the staff or Administration Officer know so that your fees can be altered accordingly.
