The Brooklands Tavern is a family friendly, vibrant venue in the heart of Southern River. We have three areas that are ideal for functions such as birthdays, anniversaries, corporate events, social club functions or just a good old get together. We strive to be at the heart of our local community by providing a place for friends to meet, for families to relax and to host local functions and events. We are the unofficial 'clubhouse' for a number of local sporting teams - a place to re-convene after matches, sell raffle tickets, celebrate victories and commiserate losses.

Average place to have a meal. If you’re not very fussed about how your food is going to taste and just want the typical pub kind of grub then it’s an alright place to visit. The night that I went with my mates we had a 45 minute wait for the food to come out despite not many people being there. Service pretty bad - our waiter was not a polite or pleasant gentleman which dulled the experience somewhat. If you live nearby and want a drink with your mates then it’s alright, decently spacious and easy to get parking - but there are better places for food around the corner.

Monday Ribs Specials was absolutely amazing!! The sweet potato chips were so much better than standard chips and was so fresh and crispy. Salad was just right without overpowering dressing. I am speechless with the ribs, it was simply divine and just melts in your mouth. I have to say, these ribs are way more delicious than Tony Roma’s since my last visit there recently. Staff was so friendly and attentive that he checked up on us throughout our dining experience and offered to top up our water. I will not hesitate to return to Brooklands for more delicious Ribs with sweet potato chips. In fact
