You know we are not fans of online yoga classes. However, due to recently announced restrictions we had to move classes to the virtual space again. This Beginners Course readily prepares and equips the students with everything they need to be informed and confident to be able to attend classes regularly and practice safely.

The Yoga Factory's main aim is to spread traditional teachings of yoga and make these teachings accessible to everyone. By that we mean EVERYONE. We want to reach beyond this stereotypical "yogi" and find people who up to now haven't been resonating with yoga. We want to meet you all and show you this other yoga.
What we teach does not require aerobic conditioning, Herculean strength or the perfect body shape. All you need is some regularity of time and an honest desire to end suffering. Suffering at the hands of self. We teach Yoga, nothing new about that apart from our absolute belief that this 8 limb path of Yoga is for every single body.
Please read through the terms and conditions on our website thoroughly before purchasing any pass options or enrolling into courses. When purchasing a pass or enrolling into any courses at The Yoga Factory Annandale or The Yoga Factory Central you agree to the terms and conditions presented on The Yoga Factory website.
Our Beginners Yoga Course has been developed over 13 long years. Through observation over these years we have ascertained that beginner yoga students need two very important fundamentals:. The common misconception being offered around and bought is that yoga can be taught in 4 WEEKS.
The 6 week, twice a week Beginners Yoga Course readily prepares and equips the students with everything they need to be informed and confident to be able to attend classes regularly and practice safely. The course is designed to build slowly from the ground up.

Our spiritual home. The birthplace of the most recent evolution of The Yoga Factory. The hub of our wonderful community. A rare place in contemporary yoga times where busy people with busy lives come together for an hour or two each day to pursue their spiritual call. What we do here is inline with traditions and the old ways of practice.

I had the absolute joy and privilege of being taught by Mick at a week-long yoga retreat in Sri Lanka, January 2020. Mick's no-nonsense style of teaching and desire for his students' success and understanding is undeniable. He's patient and firm, light-hearted and serious, a master of yoga and humble. He's everything you need to elevate your practice, but you have to be willing to put in the work. If you are, you WILL NOT be disappointed when you visit one of his classes at the Yoga Factory in Annandale or enroll in a retreat.

Mick, Karen are great teaches. Personally yoga wasn’t my thing but they had a matter of fact attitude which appealed to me. What I liked most was Im now proactive with my own back pain, and more in tune with my body ( something I never imagined I’d be writing, but they taught me that leaving your ego at the door is good too)

Following lymphatic surgery my biggest challenge was to get back to work and to develop a range of motion through old broken bones and the new surgical wound. It was a tough path. It required very specific instructional balance to push me to my limits yet never exceed them. I needed to be nurtured through the pain, not wrapped in cotton wool. The experienced team at The Yoga Factory provided high quality foundations, encouragement and modifications as necessary. More than anything else the laughter and joy is unmatched by any yoga class or studio I have participated in across the globe. Thank you
