Kensington Community Children's Co-operative is unique in its cooperative model. We have a strong business profile and are in sound financial shape, which means we can focus on what is best for children rather than profits.
Services
KCCC was established in 1982 in Henry Street, Kensington as a 35-place long day care centre. In 1996, when demand far exceeded the capabilities of the centre, the City of Melbourne built the facilities in Altona Street, alongside the existing kindergarten. The service relocated to its current 140-place facility, which includes 80 places for 4-year-old kindergarten.
The Educational Team at KCCC are a group of knowledgeable and committed professional Educators. We aspire to provide quality education and care for each child and accompany them as they embark on a journey of discovery, investigation, research and exploration. Together the Educators provide a safe and nurturing environment to stimulate learning and development.
Designed to start promoting your child's independence, communication and problem-solving skills. Designed to develop and increase your child's independence and social skills to ensure a smooth move to primary school. One of our friendly administration staff will be in contact within 24 hours during business hours.
A light-filled spacious room with its own yard provides a safe and nurturing environment for our babies. We have a ratio of 1 educator to 4 children. Our team consists of experienced and qualified educators with a room leader that supports the staff in the delivery of the educational program. Our educators develop strong relationships with families and value the primary role that families play in their child's life.
Across four bright, spacious rooms we educate and care for children aged 1 to 3 years old with a ratio of 1 educator to 4 children. We run a flexible, integrated program that supports children's emotional wellbeing. Each child's intellectual, physical, social and creative abilities are stimulated and supported.

No more santa. This is one sure way to create divisions in a community, people have no problems with other culture tradition celebrations during the rest of the year. No problems with Including them in a curriculum. But if you now cancel santa i and many others will complain/boycot any mention of other culture traditions.. you replaced santa with a pirate. Halloween was last month. Guess grinches do exist!
