Acknowledge our first nation's people. We come together on Wurrundjeri land and pay our respects to elders past, present and future.
We are fortunate to have spacious and appealing indoor and outdoor areas that are always evolving. We recognize the importance of a thoughtfully planned learning environment and our well equipped playrooms are designed to maximize children's play opportunities. We include areas for group and solitary play, art areas, dramatic play, construction, literacy, numeracy and science.

Some are past parents from our kindergarten community.
Families are an integral part of our kindergarten community. We invite all families to participate in the life of the kinder and provide opportunities to get to know others in our community. We encourage parents to sign up on the duty roster once a term; this gives an excellent opportunity to experience a kinder session, and children love having a parent (or grandparent, auntie or other special person) on duty.
JJ McMahon Memorial Kindergarten is committed to safety and wellbeing of all children. We are committed to providing a child safe environment where children and young people are safe and feel safe, and their voices are heard about decisions that affect their lives.

We chose JJ after hearing so many rave reviews from friends and we are very happy that we did. The teachers are amazing and the outdoor space is inviting. The indoor space is excellent too, always full of materials and activities that stimulate curiosity and creativity. I really like that they incorporate Spanish into their program. What’s most important though is that my child absolutely loves JJ and talks of her teachers as her best friends. So wonderful to see her thrive there.

If you're looking for a kindergarten with plenty of outdoor space, and opportunities for your child to climb, run, get dirty and explore new things look no further than JJ's. The fabulous outdoor space and the friendly, caring staff were what encouraged us to enrol here and we have not been disappointed. I love that they teach the children Spanish and embrace the various cultural backgrounds of the children. The staff have been fabulous in helping our child settle in during what has been an odd time for everyone with all COVID has thrown at the world. It's clear that the staff love their roles

Am wholeheartedly giving JJ McMahon Kindergarten 5 stars. We have 2 children who have both attended JJs for 3 and 4 yo kinder (youngest is in last year in 2021) and have only high praise for the staff and our kinder experience.
The staff have an amazing, genuine interest in the children and how they are developing. The "learning through play" approach is really core to the kindergarten and allows for appropriate "risk taking", creating, investigating, messiness that children LOVE and need but parents not always able to sanction at home (SO LOVE that JJs has all the messy paint! Would rather not
