Welcome to Doncaster Kindergarten, where education and social development go hand in hand. Doncaster Kindergarten is an educational and non-profit community service offering pre-school programs for 3 year old and 4 year old children. We value every child as a unique individual and a capable learner.
Each child has the right to be treated equally and with respect; regardless of race, culture, ability or gender. Doncaster Kindergarten acknowledges and respects the Wurundjeri tribe of the Kulin Nation as the traditional owners of the land on which we learn. We aim to promote an awareness of and respect for the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures in our service.

Services
Doncaster Kindergarten is a non-profit community service offering educational pre-school programs for families with young children. We currently have one 3 year old group and two 4 year old groups. We provide a combination of open ended and educator led experiences that promote creativity, socialisation, problem solving and exploration.
At Doncaster Kindergarten we have an experienced team of teachers and educators who understand that every child is unique. They respect the diverse nature of our community and work with children to build self-esteem, a sense of independence and to prepare them for their first years of schooling.
Our team of educators are committed to delivering play-based learning guided by theorists Lev Vygotsky, John Dewey and the Reggio Emilia approach to early childhood education.Meet our staff below. I believe my role is to interact and collaborate with children in a way that is respectful and responsive, as well as supporting and empowering them to learn continuously.

Doncaster Kindergarten provides preschool programs for one 3 year old group and two 4 year old groups. Our programs are carefully designed by our qualified educators who draw from a range of childhood educational theories and practices. They are based on areas of interest to children and families with an emphasis on learning through play with a wide range of free choice and educator-led group activities.
To see if Doncaster Kindergarten is right for you, check out our latest session times, class size and child/teacher ratio below. The kindergarten operates from one room. Our session times and days have been carefully planned to accomodate both 3 year old and 4 year old programs. Our session times are based on shorter days (sessional kindergarten) rather than longer day programs that are reflective of day care.
Full details on our enrolment procedure can be found in the Doncaster Kindergarten Enrolment and Orientation Policy and we strongly encourage you to read this before enrolling. Enrolment applications will be accepted any time after the child has turned two years of age. If you prefer to submit a hard copy, the Enrolment Form can be found at the end of the Enrolment Policy document or in the Kindergarten foyer.
