To inspire and empower, all who eat, through evidence-based nutrition education, creative, delicious, cooking classes and practical demonstrations to improve healthy eating habits and quash nutrition myths by exposing faddy food trends.About Us Over the years, Nourishing Nosh has morphed from a community based boutique cooking school, to include nutrition and sustainability education for community, schools and corporate workplaces.
Services
Nourishing Nosh founder, Lou Edney is an accredited practising nutritionist, nutrition and wellbeing educator, cooking teacher and whole foods caterer. Since starting Nourishing Nosh in 2012, she has provided nutritional and culinary inspiration to thousands of Sydney siders. She is especially passionate about empowering children and teenagers with the skills and knowledge to navigate the food system more empowered than previous generations.
What happens beneath the waves stays beneath the waves. Right? Us landlubbers do not see what happens out at sea and are mostly oblivious to fish stock levels and the environmental impact of fisheries. We don't usually know if our dinner was pole and line caught or purse seine netted. We're not even really sure what we are buying at times - Is that Orange Roughy or Deep Sea Perch?
My daughter attended your asian cooking class, she had a wonderful time not only cooking but also really enjoyed the knife skills. She is very excited to cook for us on Saturday night. She said she truly loved everything about the class and it was the best Sang Choy Bau she has every tasted. Thank you for a fun and educational holiday experience.

Nourishing Nosh brings you 2 workshops that feature hands on techniques so that you can make your own fermented foods and beverages (saving you lots of cash each year).
The GET NOURISHED programs focus on positive food and lifestyle habits and their impact on sleep, energy, mental health and wellbeing. We offer workshops and presentations for small class sizes and whole year groups, maintaining our commitment to hands-on, practical teaching. We always include a tangible learning experience to share and there is always a taste test.

OMGoodness Louise is simply the BEST hostess with the mostest! She makes you feel welcome and so comfortable right from the start... bringing a gathering of complete strangers into her home and infusing her… absolute joy and love of food into the entire experience. I did a wonderful cooking class with Louise this week and loved it. I have lots of special dietary requirements so she taught me some great recipes I can make omitting the offending ingredients. I also learnt lots of new skills in the kitchen along the way. The food was exquisite!

I recently attended a self-care session via Zoom with lovely Lou from Nourishing Nosh. I really like Lou's philosophy and found all her tips helpful and sensible. The session was relaxing, informative and fun. I will definitely be watching out for future sessions.

Hands down the best caterer in Sydney. Nourishing Nosh catered my 50th birthday and I found Lou and her team to be extremely friendly and professional. Being a nutritionist herself, Lou has a strong focus on fresh quality ingredients, ensuring the food is absolutely delicious and a highlight of any event.

Louise catered for Craig's 60th. 100 people were served delicious (and healthy) food that night! Lou and her team worked tirelessly to make it a great night. Attention to detail was second to none. We had a few dietary requirements from our guests and these were all handled with no issue. Thanks again for a great night.

Lou has catered a couple of special events for us - and I would recommend her whole heartedly. She is fantastic and all of her food is absolutely delicious. Whatever menu and options you pick will be amazing - and Lou gives excellent guidance on selections. She has managed each event perfectly - and runs everything so we don't need to do a thing other than entertain our guests. She is my first call whenever we are planning an event.

I had Lou cater for my summer party for over 60 people - a delicious and innovative Hawaiian feast - of salmon, salads, pulled pork and amazing real cheese cake ! - everyone was asking who the caterer was ! - 5 stars would def recommend

Lou's classes are fun and informative, She is passionate and really knows her stuff, ask her anything ... From nutrition and women's health to sustainable and ethical fishing and farming practices, She will endeavor to answer your question. Oh, and the food you cook and eat is delicious too!

I've just done the 'winter warmers' cooking class. It was absolutely superb!! It's so nice to be loaded up with some new recipes to cook at home. Met some truly lovely ladies too.
