Just wanted to say THANKYOU for a wonderful time in Latvia. We feel very lucky to have had the opportunity to experience the country with great company and such a perfect itinerary. Hi Mara, I just wanted to thank you again for a truly inspirational evening, you have rekindled a spark, and made me aware once again of the fun of cooking.

Too often we are too serious about what to eat, getting enough nutrients, eating the right food, that the joy of cooking gets lost. Very much enjoyed the tour - you are a well prepared and fun tour guide. Many thanks for a great time. Mara has been running Kitchen Jazz cooking classes and culinary tours since 2003.

I am excited about just the thought of spreading the love through the kitchen once more. Time to share the wafting aromas of home cooking, the crackles and the pops, colourful feasts for the eyes, and the beauty of happy eager faces.
I have great pleasure and pride in presenting delicious pockets of the world which upon each return continue to fill me with inspiration, passion and cultural fulfilment. My husband, Rob is my wine consultant and media man and accompanies me on tour. The following tours have been very well received by a number of groups.

The 'Hello Latvia' Tour is designed to provide a balanced overview of the culinary and cultural life of Latvia. Rob and Mara will make this an exciting adventure into one of the most beautiful and culturally rich parts of Northern Europe.

Historically, Latvian food was considered simple and seasonally geared to a climate that ranges from very cold in winter, to hot in summer. Today, that has all changed. A new generation of energetic and creative chefs have made the cuisine exciting, delicious and absolutely world class. Latvia's fertile land and clean waterways nurture fabulous produce, much of it organic, and the new generation of chefs love showing it off.
