Old fashioned service from the moment we pulled up to the moment we checked out. Denis and staff are very welcoming and helpful and made our stay very enjoyable. Nice little personal touches like a welcome card and chockies in the room make the difference between just a hotel and a memorable one. My daughter has insisted that we will always stay here when visiting Melbourne. Rooms are large and have old world charm, and the location is handy to everything in the city. Highly recommended

Dennis went over and beyond to make me feel welcomed, comfortable and at ease. I had been having a hard and trying few weeks and the day I stayed was exceptionally hard. The moment I walked through the door of my room, the view was lovely and loved my room was upstairs. Dennis had written a card welcoming me to the hotel which a bag of chocolates. This on its own brought me to tears. I later asked for a robe and Dennis was the one who delivered it, he provided me with information around a good place to eat since they were unable to deliver room service and suggested for me to go for a swim to help

Fantastic stay. The proportions of this grand old lady are wonderful. Beautiful sash windows let in gorgeous natural light, and the room was configured very well. Perfect location right next to Spencer St Station. Windows are double glazed and I did not hear a sound from the street nor another room. Highly recommend

So happy with this fantastic hotel/apartment so close to my work and Southern Cross Station. The hotel management Denis and Aman are such amazing people to deal with - nothing is too much trouble and they are always willing to accommodate my requests. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Melbourne.

The building is so grand!!
The room was comfortable, clean and had everything we needed. The bed was very comfortable.
