Lemongrass Restaurant
Lemongrass opened in 1989 with the inspiration and support of our then mentor Acharn (Grandlady) Boonchoo who was regarded as the High Priestess of Royal Cuisine in Bangkok. During that time Acharn Boonchoo was the Executive Chef of the Bussaracum chain of restaurants that specialised in Royal Cuisine.

Thank you Michael and the team at Lemongrass for a wonderful evening on Saturday night. Lemongrass has a wonderful ambiance that you don't usually get at a Lygon Street restaurant. The food was superb. It is obvious that you use high-quality ingredients and everything is cooked fresh. The portions were very generous.

We recently changed certain ingredients and this Information supersedes any other information you may find in the menu or elsewhere. As the same equipment and utensils are used for all our cooking our food may contain traces of allergens such as nuts, eggs, gluten, msg, sesame, soy, dairy, fish and crustacean shellfish.
Thai is our favourite cuisine, we primarily tried this place thinking we would disprove the giant banners out the front stating AUS second best Thai. Unfortunately I haven't tried the first as this was absolutely amazing. Both my partner and I went home completely satisfied, from serving size, timing and flavour - everything was on point for us.
It was indeed a Royal occasion when a select group of food critics were invited to the 15th anniversary celebrations of The Lemongrass Thai restaurant in Lygon Street Carlton. Now, I am quite prepared to accept Thai food is the product of an ancient and noble gastronomic tradition. For possibly the best Thai Royal Cuisine outside Thailand, Lemongrass, 189 Lygon St, is superb.

Excellent! Everything on the menu can be made gluten free and not just gf but celiac safe too! I was able to have pot stickers/ dumplings for the first time in years. And they were AMAZING! Can't wait to go back and visit my daughter and have pot stickers again!

The pho broth is amongst the blandest things I've ever tasted, and the chicken tastes like it was boiled then microwaved. We've given Lemongrass at least 5 undeserved chances to make something palatable but it's just not happening. The entire menu needs an overhaul.

I was so disappointed when I got home and opened up my sub. Half of it is not even dressed with veggies. Instead of usual cilantro they put parsley in it.Usually the food and the service is excellent. I wonder if they hired a new chef.

Very kind people. Very bland vegetarian phone (no flavour, no spices, didn't want spiceY, but still was bland). Also didn't come with standard bean sprouts, basil etc. Seems like a well enjoyed restaurant though! Sorry for the review. Many thanks for the great service!

The food was great. Nice and spicy, well presented and great portions. Service left a lot to be desired, i finished my soup before the other entrees came out, and even then it came out drip feed. Not good enough. Mains came out one at a time. Drinks had been finished , no top ups or extras offered. I expected better.

My favorite restaurant in Calgary by far, simply because of their unique and unbeatable VIETNAMESE CREPES. I recommend that everyone try them at least once; I'm sure it'll become your next go to! The spring rolls are also beautifully crispy yet sweet and soft on the inside. And don't forget your bubble tea; so many great flavours to choose from (or combine if you're creative)!

Good food but absentee service. Once food was served, we didn't see the waitress again. Spent 20 minutes waiting for bill.
