The food was good, however, we waited over 30 minutes for anyone to take our order, and then another hour or until we received our forst dish. We were not given water at our table. The wait staff were not good with communicating. We went to leave before all of our food had arrived but staff then brought out a dish, but we still waited another 30min for the final dish. Total of 2 hour wait time between walking in and receiving our last dish. We overheard several groups and peoole leave before we did for the same reason.

-The food is absolutely wonderful, from preparation to presentation and taste ,would say better than home made food . -Definitely the best place for authentic middle eastern cuisine . -timing, hospitality and… the welcoming smile you get are all priceless. -Tough times will pass and we will return to dine in Leyalina hopefully very soon, meanwhile we are enjoying the delicious take out menu .
Thank you.
Thank you.

Leyalina offers a place for stories, family and good food. Our hosts are Egyptian and bring beautiful manners, excellent service and glorious clever food to the table. Very handsome young men serve and they are willing to engage in any conversation. Beautiful women, who look like the Kardashians without the artifice glide past the tables and disappear upstairs. There is something wonderful and mysterious about this little alcove on Lygon Street, as if we may be magically transported to Gheza to some secret souk.
The food is full of magic also, sweet spices, sumac and lemon over fish, with fresh

One of the most important parts of any restaurant experience is feeling welcomed. My husband and I, American men on holiday, stopped by Leyalina on a quiet Saturday night. There were many people smoking hookahs outside but just a few occupied tables inside. We were seated and then completely ignored. No greeting. No menus. No water. Nothing. Employees wiped tables, chatted and walked passed us repeatedly, very obviously avoiding eye contact. After ten minutes we left. The one star I'm giving this rotten experience is for a few of the dishes I saw other people eating that looked like they might

My friends and I were curious to have our first try of Egyptian food and went here on a Friday evening for dinner.
I made a booking on their online website and received confirmation via email within 24 hours. I had to change my booking to include an additional person and the restaurant was happy to oblige.
We arrived to the sounds of international music, the smell of overpowering shisha from people shisha-ing it outside as we were seated on ornate tables, cushioned benches or wooden chairs.
We were then handed expansive menus with lots and lots of options. There are around 3-4 different salads
