We stayed at the four seasons for our wedding anniversary
And we spent 2 nights after our dinners at the Grain Bar
The service, food and drinks were all amazing

I stayed at Four Seasons Hotel Sydney with my family over the weekends and we loved their services. Particullary when we were dining at Mode restaurant and we met Joanna. She usually works at Grain but happened to be working at Mode that night (Wednesday 17th November 2021). She was so kind and gave us the best dining experience especially to our 2 year-old daughter. She was exceptional!

Moody. Only one word required to describe this bar, and it's the right kind of mood. Warm timber throughout combined with discrete, chilled beats and low lighting makes this a very appealing bar. The staff have found that great balance of friendly without being intrusive.
While the bar is designed around providing a whiskey experience, the cocktails, beer and wine selection will appeal to those not chasing the latest smokey scotch. A small selection of well picked platters will keep you there for another couple of drinks. I can see this bar getting crowded. My advice would be to get there early

Poor service, asked for a southern comfort lemonade, got a lemonade and told the Sauvignon Blanc had run out... waited another 20mins for Jerry’s. Plus my friends had to wait 20mins for their rounds, it’s not even busy!! Disappointing to say the least and it’s my friends birthday too so doesn’t make for a good atmosphere empty glasses!

Indifferent service in an attractive location. Grain sports a large wraparound bar surrounded by plenty of tables with few servers and almost no lighting. My wife and I strolled in twice, a few days apart, and sat at the bar, where two bartenders seemed to be very busy. So busy that we were ignored for 10-15 minutes. Drinks were OK, if pricy, and the bar menu was impossible to read without my iPhone flashlight. I recommend the Four Seasons as a hotel, but there are loads of nearby pubs that are friendlier and more attentive to customers than Grain.

This is the bar attached to the four seasons. It's decorated beautifully with lovely wood beams and a beautiful bar as the center of the room. It is of course pricey and the service and bartending leave something to be desired. Cocktails were ok but not amazing and table service is lacking. Overheard the server berating the bartender for stealing his table when we had ordered at the bar on purpose. Not 5 star service at all but a nice atmosphere at least.

A cool whisky bar in the four seasons. I visited for a Laphroiag whiskey tasting. The event was bery good. We received a whiskey cocktail on arrival. There was a charcuterie board to choose from. A wonderful selection of cured meats, pickles and cheese. The tasting was informative and the whiskies were unreal, including some very nice unreleased whiskey. This was paired with some small bites. In all a great bar and event.

I love this place, been a few times has never disappointed with their Whiskey selection, which always keeps me happy. I was there last for a Laphroaig Whiskey tasting event, which was just fantastic. The selection of whiskey to taste was rare, the host was entertaining and the Whiskey food matching samplers were perfect. I really recommend this place if you like your Whiskey.

We went down to have a whiskey flight to find out they only do it on a Monday, oh man, it's Sunday! We waited 20 minutes to order a drink... To be fair there was only one waiter on the floor and he was running to cover the entire floor, that's not fair! The manager really should better staff the place in my opinion. We were offered our first round free as we waited so long; we didn't say anything it was just offered to us. We then ordered a second round of cocktails. Unfortunately

Beautiful bar. Horrible service, especially by Four Seasons standards. My cocktail was nice, but my companions was not very balanced in flavour. We intended to stay for a couple of drinks, but we left after being unable to attract the attention of a server.
*** Update ***: After being contacted by the hotel manager, I increased my rating... The intention to have the bar at Four Seasons standards is there, but our visit may have just been a fluke... I'll give them another go next time we are out in the city for a nice evening. I really hope to give the 5 stars next time, as I do love

Went in the middle of the afternoon and it was dead. No bartender for 10 minutes. Came back later that night and it was a little more upbeat. Fantastic whiskey selection (though they were out of my first choice) and good selections for wines and beers as well. The decor and atmosphere is perfect. Subtle, intimate, and indeed wood grained. Prices are a little steep but hey, it's a bar in the four seasons what do you expect?!
