Established in 2013, we are a family owned and operated Boxing Gym in Morningside, where all fitness & skill levels are welcome. As owner and operator of Beat Boxing, Chris Dunn is the Head Boxing and Fitness Coach, runs many of the training sessions at the gym and works closely with the competitive fighters.

Chris has well over 15 years of extensive experience within the boxing and the fitness industry, has had over 20 amateur fights, holds a Cert 3 & 4 in Group Fitness & Personal Training, Holds his Level 1 Queensland Boxing Licence and is also a certified Australian Boxing Council Coach.

I got up one day and did it.. I decided enough is enough I am so unfit, just a ball of fat, so I joined beat boxing gym, the staff and coaches are top shelf, my first class ,which are 45min long, I lasted 15min , 2nd class I lasted 25min, my 3rd class (with the support and practice) I just lasted the whole 45min and when I finished the class, i felt so good, so pumped, I also have started loosing weight, so if you want to get fit and feel good.. come and join ...great place great people

Brisbane's most authentic and genuine boxing gym by far. Chris and Rory are not only exceptional boxers, but awesomely experienced coaches too!. It's great to see these guys lead by example and treat each individual with respect and guidance. I love the fighters technique classes the most however, the boxing fitness classes also have a strong focus on actual boxing, so technique and skill do not go overlooked.
The guy's passion for boxing is infectious, and you know you are in great hands while learning the "sweet science", and not just smashing out generic HIIT programs by personal trainers that

3 years after shoulder surgery due to dislocation i tried the boxing fitness class. Local osteopath said shoulder needs exercise to strengthen. My shoulder has never felt better since the operation. What a great way to get fit and strengthen shoulders. This has proven to be a better way to recovery than elaborate physio programs. Can highly recommend Chris and Rory as trainers. They have great blend of enthusiasm, energy and cajoling to get best output. They seem to find a way to get you to do more than you would believe possible. Should add there is something satisfying about hitting the bag.

I found Beat Boxing to be a business focused on fitness, inclusivity and building a healthy, happy community. This environment has enabled me to stay committed to my goals now for an unprecedented 3 years!
My children have always been welcome at this family run business and so they have been witness to my commitment to working out and working hard and they too now value exercise and living an active life.

Awesome gym, run by some awesome people. I've been coming here for a few years and love it.
The coaches have boxing backgrounds and balance the classes really well around boxing, hiit and fitness. Which is perfect bang for buck for me, as I only exercise once or twice a week.

Best Place to burn a couple of hundred calories per workout.
Everybody is really friendly.

If you are anything like me, you may have tried various Gyms, Personal Trainers, and Exercise classes before in the hope that you'd find the one that gave you something like the results you were searching for. Well, after much expense, crowded gym changing rooms, and crappy equipment, I still never found the ultimate workout until I was dragged along to see Chris at Beat Boxing Bulimba.
Initially I was a bit apprehensive about what I'd find. Was it going to be some place full of Jocks showing off, and people screaming at you to perform? Well, I was very glad to find out it wasn't like that at

My little brother introduced me to Chris and Christie (owner's/trainer's), and boxing & fitness in general. I kept putting it off for a period of 3 months or so, despite the fact that I really needed to get back into sport, and have always had an interest in boxing. I finally made it in, about 6-7 months ago, and was one of the best things I've done in my adult life. It's lots of fun, well co-ordinated and safe. Thanks to Chris and Christie, I've managed to reach my goals (losing 10kg's in a safe and healthy way), and improve my boxing skillset significantly. Beat Boxing and Fitness definitely
