Eligible patients must be aged 45-49 (inclusive) who are at risk of developing chronic disease. Factors that the GP may consider include, but are not limited to: lifestyle risk factors, biomedical risk factors and family history of chronic diseases. A health check at this stage of life can assist patients to make the necessary lifestyle changes to prevent or delay the onset of chronic disease.
Our Surgery Opening Hours: Monday to Friday: 8.00am - 6:30pm Saturdays and Public Holidays: 9:00am - 1:00pm Approx. National Home Doctor Service is available for after hours visits to ensure our continuity of care. They can be contacted on 13 SICK (13 7425). Payment is required at the time of consultation.

Dr Vas was kind however kept insisting that I needed to see a psychologist for my long covid symptoms /MECFS symptoms. he pushed me to go back to work. I subsequently as a result pushed myself, had a severe crash. This was very dangerous situation. It has resulted in so far two years of complete disability where I’m bedbound and unable to even lift my head. ME/cfs is a real illness and people especially women should not be told it is psychological. if I had been sent home to rest completely for a month I would’ve recovered now. I now have a lifelong illness.

We have been seeing Dr Rod Trevena since our son was a baby and he has always been exceptional. The issue is not the GPs but the extremely rude and incompetent management of this clinic. My toddler son was diagnosed with covid this week and I was told that because he had not physically visited the clinic in the past 12ths (vaccinations don't count), that I would be out of pocket for a GP consultation to manage his covid with zero Medicare. When I explained that he was never permitted to attend the clinic while unwell in the past 12mths, I was told "they are Medicare rules - not ours. You agreed

Very efficient, very attentive.
A grand pity about the aquarium: obviously no staff ever saw 'Finding Nemo' whose theme was how Nemo, a Clown Fish, wanted to escape a fish bowl and get to the open sea - yet what have they got behind their glass? Nemos swimming in perpetual circles for eternity. Fishermen chuck in explosives to stun schools of fish and go and scoop up the living for sale. Because New Street makes a market. Shame.

I attended New Street Medical Centre this month to undergo a Medical Assessment for an Emergency Services role I was applying for.
The assessment was quite basic/standard and took 45min. The 45min appointment cost me $255.
I was absolutely appalled and disheartened to hear that 7 other candidates who underwent the exact same medical assessment paid no more than $130.
For anyone needing to undergo a Medical assessment I highly recommend doing your homework and finding another Medical Clinic who refuse to unfairly overcharge their customers.
