Services
Cabrones is the brainchild of Hashtag Burgers & Mexican-born chef Juan Carlos, who brings his own authentic flair to Cabrones. The founder of Maix Street Food and former sous chef at the highly regarded Three Blue Ducks in Rosebery, Carlos draws on the bold & fresh flavours of traditional Mexican Street Food, and they're now being brought to you in the heart of Newtown - right here at the Marly!
We take a mix of both bookings and reservations. We take a certain amount of bookings for each time frame and also leave some of the venue available for people to be able to walk in. At the moment we are operating on sitting times as we have capacity restrictions - thank you for understanding. Depending on the amount of walk-ins currently in venue, it is difficult to give an accurate number of availability.

Awesome bar, good vive and people. Only issue: security. They just kick out for no reason, it doesn’t matter if you are not drunk or not bothering or causing trouble. They just select you and throw out. Management should review their security protocols, because its non-sense. When that change, i can rate as 5 stars.

Bouncer denied me entry around 8pm because he said I was "intoxicated". Was sober af. Got confused at the entry for the covid check-in process and that ticked him off I guess. Kept saying I was "intoxicated". I told him I'm not drunk, he said they're denying me entry because of "intoxication" not because I was drunk and that I can't come back for 24 hours. Well how bout never. Thanks but no thanks. Ruined an otherwise great night for me.

I wanna be nice about this but like guys cmon, three of my friends and I were kicked out while not intoxicated for no other reason that we just had an enthusiastic hug in the venue

Came out with two mates, got to the front of the line, and a tall bouncer came out, whispered something in the other bouncers ear, and I was told I wouldn't be allowed in. He asked me how much I had to drink previously, I told him I've had 2 drinks, then he told me that I look intoxicated, and was being refused entry, despite a larger and louder crowd behind me.
Literally ruined the night. I understand the bouncers have a job, but that was a little rough.

THIS REVIEW IS PURELY FOR FAT BELLY JACKS. Marly is an alrite bar nothing great but inside it lives A hidden gem called Fat belly jacks, and that place deserves all the stars. Had the tenders their last night and the hot chicken burger with blue cheese sauce. This was our second visit, the first time I tried their fried chicken which was also great it’s just that the portion size was a bit small. But all in all this is hands down the best Nashville style burger I’ve had ever. Like this is it. The tenders were bomb, super spicy. Just needed a bit more salt or chicken salt on it. Everything else

The security that’s Tongan with the curly hair was extremely rude. We got there at 9:30 sober and we’re very polite. He was extremely rude and he would pick and choose who he let line up to get in. He told us to come back in half an hour and that we weren’t allowed to even wait near the line so we came back half and hour later and he said we wouldn’t be getting in tonight. He also turned down many other groups as well but as I waited for an Uber he would let the same amount of guys and girls he likes line up by random?! Everyone that tried to get in was not drunk and was very mad about

Visited mid-afternoon and a pleasant place to have a quiet drink with friends. A small choice of guest keg beers on offer. We didn't eat, so I can't comment on the quality of the food.
Pleasant bar service. Complimentary WiFi. Gaming bar. ATM.
The beer garden/smoking area is one of the best I have seen in a City pub.
