The Royal Hotel has been serving cold beer and good times to the Darlington and Redfern community since 1894. We offer genuine Australian pub fare, a great community atmosphere and a newly refurbished upstairs area. The Royal is currently closed due to Government restrictions in N.S.W, However we are still open for pick-up or delivery Bistro and Bottleshop service.

Popped by after Sydney Festival at Carriageworks for a cheeky drink. Plenty of space and such friendly folks behind the bar! Wish I lived closer to enjoy this neighborhood watering hole.

The food at the Royal leaves much to be desired, although the sweet potato chips are okay. The vibe is also lacklustre.

Worst pub in Sydney. Beer is overrpriced and taps are very dirty. Man with beard is obnoxious and disgusting to guests and I don't understand how they stay afloat with such terrible service. Food is terrible. I would not go to this pub if it was the last place on earth.

Had 1 bad experience with uber eats, and the LOVELY staff decided to reach out, and offer to help resolve the issue. Just want to give a massive thanks to Killian for helping us out and going above and beyond. The food you guys sent out was brilliant!!

This lovely no frills pub in Darlington is perfect the way it is. It has great food, good selection of drinks and friendly staff. Known for it cheap meals and it's $11 steak. Lots of screens to watch sport on as well. Not too busy and a good place for larger groups. Their cheesy garlic bread is outstanding!

This is one of my favourite restaurants! They have great service and delicious food! They have a great atmosphere with quick service. The food takes a while to make but it is worth the wait. They are great! It’s a great pub for a bite to eat. Highly recommended to come to.

Student pub that has alright prices, the lager they offer is just extra dry I'm pretty sure, well that's what it tastes like anyway. They used too be famous for offering $9 steaks but now they're $15 and very small. The trivia is quite fun though, the judge is really chilled and doesn't mind a couple people on the table using Google. Which kind of makes it a speed kind contest.
