As part of our commitment to the health of our local community, we can provide Type 2 Diabetes Assessments to patients who feel they may be at risk. Type 2 Diabetes is one of the largest contributors to the ill health in Australia, and type 2 diabetes accounts for 92% of diabetes cases. Diabetes is associated with a number of complications, including an increased risk of developing cardiovascular, eye and kidney disease.
Other OH&S Medicals as required. Please contact us for more information about the occupational health services that we can provide. While location and convenience are factors to consider, the most important criteria to consider when selecting a service provider is clear communication and a mutual philosophy of an "early return to work" as soon as medically feasible.
At Oxford Street Medical Centre, we specialise in administration of Intravenous Ferric Carboxymaltose, commonly known as an Iron Infusions. An Intravenous infusion of iron can be used to replenish iron stores when oral replacement is not adequate or tolerated. As an infusion it is fast and effective at increasing your iron levels.
Did you know that Queensland is referred to as 'the skin cancer capital of the world?' There are almost 1 million new skin cancers diagnosed in Australia each year and 2 out of 3 Australians will be diagnosed with a skin cancer by age 70. Non-melanoma skin cancers (such as basal cell cancers, or BCC, and squamous cell cancers, or SCC) are now almost 7 times as common as all other cancers combined.

Not helpful with a sick child. Due to the fact that my son had a rash they would not see him in person and insisted on charging full fees for a Telehealth appointment. A Telehealth appointment is not helpful for a 3 year old with a rash. To make matters worse, they cancelled the appointment at 2.50pm, when the appointment was scheduled for 3.30pm.
General Practitioners are suppose to treat sick people. Now we will have to go the Children’s Hospital and put further strain on the health system because the GP is too scared to treat a sick child.

Dr Bruce was professional and thorough with my aviation medical. Kiara/Kyra behind the desk was very helpful, particularly in responding to queries (unlike others who were unable to answer or get back to me). The wait times were a bit longer than I would expect and the other admin/desk staff were rude and unprofessional (particularly to their own staff, loud enough so that the wait room could hear).

Very friendly and professional! The receptionist always fits you in and remembers your name and asks about your children/family, makes you feel at home. The nurses and doctors are all amazing, they have always made me feel at ease and they give detailed professional advice. Highly recommend. Fantastic with kids. I had an iron infusion and it was such an easy/relaxed experience. Thankyou to all of the staff.

Booking online was simple and hassle free! 👍I was able to book the consult I needed then and there - no issues or having to call into the practice to rebook. 👏 Reception was friendly and helpful, there were regular updates of how the doctor was running for time as there was a short wait. Extremely happy with the level of service received from the doctor and staff. I would highly recommend this practice.

Was able to get an appointment same day as a new patient when my newborn was unwell. Was seen within 5minutes of the appointment start time where other medical centres have been very behind schedule almost every time. Doesn't bulk bill but I was advised of that when I made the appointment. Dr Bryan knew what he was talking about and was really good with my baby.

I was referred to the Oxford St Medical Centre for an iron infusion yesterday. I was very impressed with the service from everyone. The office staff were very helpful and the professionalism of Dr Wendy Wong and Nurse Kate was to be commended. Kate stayed with me through the whole procedure and made sure everything went well, taking my observations frequently.
Anyone needing an iron infusion would have no fears attending this clinic.

When I arrived in Bulimba two years ago, and discovered Oxford Street Medical Centre and Nurse KATE Everett, I felt that I had finally found my family doctors surgery. Two years later nothing has changed. If you are looking for a surgery who take the time, fit you in at short notice, truly care for your family and your time-then you've found it. Nurse KATE has a fantastic bedside manner, she has given all three of my children their immunisations and is truly a godsend. She is practical, down to earth and highly skilled. Kate always gives both injections at once to limit those tears and offers wonderfully

What an amazing team of medical professionals! I am so grateful I found such a caring, supportive and knowledgable team to care for myself, and most of all my baby daughter. Being a new parent can be challenging at times, however when in need I always turn to Nurse Kate, Dr Eugenia, Dr Warlow and Michael Lawler for assistance. Our family has now moved 30 minutes away from Bulimba, however, for the past 6 months we still continue to drive back to this surgery. Judy on the front desk is just a lovely lady, has a remarkable memory and always accommodates us when possible. We are treated and cared
