Services
Counselling is usually for a fairly short period of time and deals primarily with the problem situation. Psychoanalytic psychotherapy involves talking with a therapist to try and find relief from this emotional pain. In this type of therapy thought is given to not only the obvious and conscious thoughts but to trying to find out what lies underneath.
Group psychotherapy is particularly useful for people who are motivated to gain a deeper understanding of themselves and their difficulties in relation to others. It offers the opportunity for members to think about their patterns of relating as they occur in the group. These will reflect the patterns in the outside world.
